Worshipful Company of Innholders Master – 2015-2016 Mrs Julia Sibley MBE Julia Sibley is Chief Executive of The Savoy Educational Trust, an independent, grant-giving charitable trust, whose main aim is to advance and develop education, training and qualifications within the hospitality industry. She was made Chief Executive of the Trust in 1998, having been involved with it for many years before this. Julia has been a member of the Worshipful Company of Innholders since 2004 and became a member of the Court in 2009. However, she has been involved with the Company ever since the formation of the joint Scholarships that the Company offers in conjunction with the Savoy Educational Trust, which were first awarded in 1997 and she sits on the selection panel for the award of these scholarships. Julia is a trustee of the D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Honorary Member of the Academy of Food and Wine Service. In July 2009 she was awarded the Education and Training “Catey” (the UK awards for the hospitality industry) and in January 2014 she was awarded an MBE for services to the hospitality industry. In May 2015 she received a Diploma for Support from the Craft Guild of Chefs. For over 30 years Julia has run a hospitality training consultancy and which she still operates on a part time basis. Julia’s hobbies include skiing, gardening, cooking and helping her (now grownup) children and her grandchildren.
