This gift was a result of hard work on the part of the Friends consisting of biannual book sales, ongoing Farmers Market presence, the Upscale Garage Sale, and the daily sales at the Pinole Library. Most of these events are directed by Michael Cembura (r) who presented the gift. Daily Book Sales The Friends of the Pinole Library are excited for their display of books for sale in the Pinole Library. With at least 20 plus genres, the selection is wide and varied, ranging from Children’s Books starting at $0.25 up to Specialty / Coffee Table books starting at $1.50. These books and CD’s are available each hour that the Pinole Library is open. The honor system is in effect with a black coin box in the tall shelves in the entry. The daily sales are a vital part of the fund raising process. Annual Book Sale The Friends of the Pinole Library will host its biannual book sale on October 17, 2015, at the Pinole Library. There are thousands of books that have been organized into over thirty categories and genres from which to choose. Members are welcomed into the sale at 9 am and the general public at 10 am. Memberships are available at the door. The fundraising event supports the Pinole Library throughout the year.
