HELP IN SUFFERING Dear Friends and Supporters I am sharing some more stories of HIS family. This monkey was rescued by the local people from Galta ji area on the Delhi Road. He had been burnt due to live electric wire when they rescued him. A man took this monkey to his house and helped him get treatment from a veterinary clinic. Due to this incident the monkey lost his memory and balance, and had nerve damage. He was named Ramu by this owner. Later on neighbours convinced him to surrender the monkey to Help In Suffering and now the monkey is living in safety and lots of love and care. Ramu now lives in his enclosure with a female macaque named Rani and loves to play with her. Rani keeps him amused and he enjoys that. Jimmy was Christine and Jeremy’s favourite dog She was one of the oldest dog members of our animal family. She was rescued in the presence of Ms. Bhawna Jain, our Animal Care Manager and loved and cared for by all. She had the most gentle and friendly temperament and looked like a German Shepherd dog. She used to live in Christine ‘s cottage with her other two friends Lucy & Tobby who died a few years back, after death of these two close friends and Christine’s departure to Australia she started spending her time in the office with all our employees and enjoyed watching the activities at HIS . She later spent more time in medical store and due to her old age her heart and kidney started collapsing. Many tests were conducted for her good health by Dr. Pradeep and she was observed regularly by Dr. Jack & other vets who after treating for several days declared that her condition was getting worse due to her old age. She was given a lot of tender love and care After consulting all the vets and our animal care manager it was decided she should be put to sleep to save her from further suffering. With great sadness but surrounded by those she loved, her suffering was ended by HIS vets. She will be greatly missed as a good friend and companion. This little monkey was found abandoned at Amer Road and was brought to the shelter on 20th May 2014. The people who saw him, could not find his mother and so he was given to HIS. His name was given as Shankar by the HIS staff. He is very shy and always looks like he is scared of something but there is another female rescued named Meera looking after him as a mother. It’s amazing to see all the monkeys look after each other and comfort the younger ones so well. This donkey was seen on the outskirts of Jaipur by a French donor Ms Michele Bilger . He was found suffering from lameness and saddle sores due to heavy goods. He was being used as a beast of burden. He was rescued by HIS team and given a long treatment at HIS. Michele requested the trustees to keep him in the shelter forever and took the responsibility to do regular funding for his good health and care In 2013 he was moved to our new equine yard with other donkeys where he found new friends and is now enjoying his life playing with them.
