Based on the device reported CQI-PMI-RI, the base station makes a decision on what MCS index, pre-coding and transmission mode to use. This enables measurement that more closely resemble real network performance, and the test can cover both near cell and cell edge performance in a single 10-15 min measurement. Results from OTA measurements in RC on 802.11p nodes are also presented for different channel models. Performance is analyzed as a function of Doppler (fading rate) for different sizes of the 802.11p packet.
