During a career spanning more than 30 years in the commercial aviation industry, he has specialized in technical commercial services and asset management. In 2003 Mr. Chomyszyn and three colleagues established International Aircraft Management (IAM) B.V., which they sold to SGI Aviation in 2007. Wadick Chomyszyn, SGI CEO & CTO As Executive Vice President Technical of IAM B.V., Mr. Chomyszyn structured, managed, and realized complex international aircraft operating leases, purchase and sales transactions for third parties totaling €230 million over a four- year period. He earned a reputation for being at the forefront of aircraft lease management and negotiations. While he was developing a strong customer base for IAM, he also provided expert advice to Finance Lease Risk Management teams. Prior to this, Mr. Chomyszyn was a Senior Technical Manager for ING Lease International Equipment Management, a company he joined in 1996. In this position, he was responsible for ING’s lease portfolio consisting of 50 aircraft on-lease around the world. Mr. Chomyszyn was responsible for ING’s aircraft transfers, sales, and asset management in Europe, Africa and Asia. After the acquisition of ING Lease by Abbey national he joined IEM Air finance as Senior Technical Manager where he was responsible for aircraft sale lease back transactions. Trained at the Dutch aviation school and then by Transavia Airlines Technical Division, Mr. Chomyszyn completed numerous major technical projects and wet lease supports for Transavia throughout the world. The success of that project was instrumental in his being given responsibility for overseeing heavy maintenance visits and new purchase projects for Transavia. In this role, he was the airline resident representative to The Boeing Company, where he personally oversaw the delivery of new aircraft on the company’s behalf. Confidential – not for third party distribution © SGI Aviation 2011 9 Appendix Team bios Paolo Lironi, Managing Director and Head of Engine Advisory Paolo Lironi joined the SGI team as Executive Director, Engine Advisory BV, with more than 10 years of experience in commercial power plants. Mr. Lironi manages a team of engine specialists who inspect, assess, value and manage engines on behalf of customers. His expertise in creating complex ‘Engine Removal Plans,’ carrying out engine Inspections and managing assets makes him an invaluable part of the SGI team. Previously Mr. Lironi held the position of Director, Engine Services with IASG, where he increased the business revenue from zero to half a million dollars. In 2003 he was appointed Powerplant Manager at Volare Airlines, the second-largest airline in Italy. He specialized in the following Engine Models: PW4000, CFM56, V2500, CF6-80, CF34-8 and GTCP331350 APU. Prior to that, Mr. Lironi worked for Air Europe of Italy, where he managed Engine Troubleshooting and Engine Condition Monitoring. He also has experience with Total Engine Support (TES) in the UK as Engine Programme Manager, where he managed the Easyjet Engine fleet and various other projects. He also held the position of Powerplant Manager with Azzurra Airlines. He accrued much experience in contract negotiation and fleet management during these years. Mr. Lironi holds an MBA degree from MIP, School of Business. On his final project, he worked together with Swiss Engine Shop in Basel to analyze the costs of shifting capability from LF502/LF507 to CF34 engine type. A graduate from Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy, Mr. Lironi also holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Masters in Aerodynamics. Confidential – not for third party distribution © SGI Aviation 2011 10 Appendix Team bios Wim Ovaa, Managing Director / Head of Training & Regulatory Services Wim Ovaa joined SGI Aviation in 2007 as Senior Vice President of SGI Advisory BV. He has over 13 years of airline and aviation experience, with an expertise in Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) Program Management, EU ‘Community List’ (‘Blacklist’) coordination, EASA Regulations, and change management. He is directly responsible for the business development of training services and strategic consulting for SGI Advisory BV. In addition to safety-oversight programs, Mr. Ovaa’s expertise includes aviation safety regulations and operator safety management systems. Prior to joining SGI, Mr. Ovaa was head of the European Aviation Safety Agency’s (EASA) SAFA Program, with oversight of all 27 European Union member states. He was instrumental in developing and implementing the EC SAFA program across Europe. This included the development and implementation of program adaptations designed to ensure that all EU Member State Authorities complied with their legislative obligations. Other significant positions held by Mr. Ovaa have included Head of Airworthiness & SAFA Office for the Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) where he oversaw the SAFA program for 42 participating states. In this role, he managed the SAFA program on behalf of the ECAC organization (European Civil Aviation Conference) and its Member States. As Senior Policy Officer with The Netherlands Civil Aviation Authority he oversaw approved maintenance and production organizations and was responsible for SAFA implementation. Mr. Ovaa graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. In addition, he holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).
