courses be completed with a 3.2 GPA. Strength of academic
preparation and grade point average are the primary selection
criteria for admission.

Notes: This major is highly selective. Students should complete
a significant number of major prep courses prior to transfer. At a
minimum you should complete one year of biology with a lab, one
year of general chemistry with a lab, one year of calculus, and
one semester of organic chemistry with a lab. It is recommended
that students complete a course in statistics and highly
recommended that you complete a second semester of organic
chemistry or one year of calculus-based physics prior to transfer.
