REHEARSAL ATTENDANCE POLICY
In order to maintain SUMS’ high performance standards, eligibility to sing in SUMS’ concerts is based primarily
on rehearsal attendance instead of auditions. To perform in this concert, you will need to attend a minimum of
rehearsals – either:
o
9 Wednesday rehearsals and 3 Camp rehearsals
o
10 Wednesday rehearsals and 2 Camp rehearsals
o
11 Wednesday rehearsals and 1 Camp rehearsal
The final two rehearsals (in bold) are compulsory for those intending to sing in the concert.
Furthermore, “attending rehearsal” is to be understood as being present and actively participating in
rehearsals for the entire duration; to ensure this, rolls will be signed for you by your Section Leader at
their discretion.
If you can’t attend a rehearsal, speak to your Section Leader to see what you missed. If you can’t attend
sufficient rehearsals, you may still be able to perform as we are counting rehearsals in the first four weeks of
semester as being supplementary to the rehearsal period; but please contact Wilhelmina (Concert Manager) to
discuss your options.
Please also remember that you must be an ACCESS member to perform in a SUMS concert. This is
