VSN Raju, Integrator & Lead Partner, Byrraju Foundation, is a veteran in
project management. His expertise revolves around project finance, monitoring,
implementation and rehabilitation. A fellow member of ICAI, Mr.Raju
coordinates implementation of all the Foundation initiatives, actively
mobilizing community support. Administration, Finance and Infrastructure
departments are his other exclusive domains. He also mentors key delivery
modules like Water, Sanitation and Waste management.
An out-and-out finance man by education and chosen profession prior to
joining Byrraju Foundation, Mr.Raju has grown into an efficient administrator,
project manager and human being par excellence in a long career spanning
nearly 3 decades.
Despite his strong credentials that could have taken him to greater heights in
the corporate world, Mr.Raju chose the NGO sector as helping the
underprivileged gives him immense satisfaction. He feels Byrraju Foundation
has given him an opportunity to contribute his mite to society.
A prolific writer in 'Ankuram', a community communication magazine of the
Foundation with a dedicated following in 6 districts of Andhra Pradesh, Mr
Raju focuses on kindling the inherent strengths of rural people through his
articles.
Though his stern demeanor at work may put his colleagues on their toes, his
appreciation of a job done well brings him much closer as a professional to his
colleagues.
As part of the Foundation's top brass, coordination of all the initiatives
requiring community involvement is one of the many responsibilities of Mr
Raju. He discharges this duty with élan owing to his innate ability to interact
with rural community members in their own idiom.
To discharge his commitment to society as an individual, Mr Raju has founded
a public charitable trust "VIDYA KOSAM" to support the efforts of deserving
and under privileged students to get into professional courses.
Born on September 13, 1953 at Ponnamanda, East Godavari District, Andhra
Pradesh, India, Mr Raju is married to Lakshmi; and they have two handsome
sons – Srinu & Ramu.
