The First Three Days
Day 1 – Overnight Flight to Rome
Tentatively – March 21st, 2012
Flight Time – Approximately 10 Hours
Time Difference – 7 Hours
Day 2 - Rome
• We will be meeting our tour guide, get to our
hotel rooms and head out for a relaxed day of
shopping, having supper and preparing for a
busy day 3.
Day 3 – Vatican City
• The Vatican City is the world's smallest
sovereign state and is situated entirely within
the city of Rome.

Day 3 – Sistine Chapel
• Thanks to the extraordinary talents of Michelangelo
Buonarroti (1475-1564), the Sistine Chapel in Vatican
City has become one of the most famous art galleries
in the western world.

Day 3 – St. Peter’s Basilica
• It is thanks to Peter, the first Apostle and the first
pope and leader of the Church that the most
important basilica in the Christian world, the St.
Peter's Basilica, was built in Rome.

Day 3 – Guided Tour of Rome
• Trevi Fountain - The Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain is the
most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in all
of Rome. This impressive monument dominates the small
Trevi square located in the Quirinale district.

• An estimated 3,000 euros are thrown
into the fountain each day. The money
has been used to subsidize a supermarket
for Rome's needy. However, there are
regular attempts to steal coins from
the fountain.

of the world. It was built as a Roman temple and
later consecrated as a Catholic Church.

• Piazza Navona is a square in Rome. The piazza
follows the plan of an ancient Roman circus, the 1st
century Stadium of Domitian, where the Romans
