Peter Morris General Manager Chevron Philippines Inc. Peter assumed his position as General Manager of Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI) in January 2013. He leads CPI’s 300 professionals in providing energy to one of the region’s most vibrant economies via 750 service stations and 6 terminals nationwide. He has more than 20 years of experience working in various downstream management assignments including positions in marketing, operations, and strategic and business planning. Peter is also the current President of the Philippines Institute of Petroleum. Peter has worked in other Chevron locations including the USA, New Zealand, Singapore, Australia and Thailand. Prior to the Philippines appointment, Peter was General Manager for Chevron in New Zealand for almost 3 years. He was responsible for overseeing 100 staff and operations that included 300 retail outlets, 90 diesel stops, 10 terminals and the supply of aviation fuel to Auckland airport. Concurrently he served a as director of the New Zealand Refining Company (NZX:NZR) that provides 70% of NZ’s fuel requirement. Before the assignments in NZ, Peter was the Asia Pacific Strategy, Planning and Pricing Manager based in Singapore for more than 4 years. He was responsible for gross margin management and daily pricing actions across ten countries. He led a regional team in creating business plans, coordination of strategy activities, portfolio execution and new business development activities. For 2 and a half years, Peter was the Global Operating Standards Manager in San Ramon, California where he spearheaded development and deployment standard retail operating procedures to Chevron, Texaco and Caltex's 14,000 retail outlets across 80 countries. Peter started his career with Chevron in Australia where he held a number of positions including Retail Sales Manager and Products Trader. Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in Business, major in Marketing from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Technology in Sydney, both renowned universities in Australia. Outside of daily work commitments Peter has been a guest lecturer at the Auckland University School of Business, coached junior soccer and basketball teams, competitively crewed on keel boats out of Raffles Marina in Singapore, was the captain for the CSU Mitchell Rugby club and as a fitness enthusiast, he currently enjoys competitive mountain biking. He is married with two children.
