During Internship at IBM, Pune (Jan-2009 to June 13 ,2009)
Voice-Eclipse
Worked on this project from March 2009 to May 2009 in Lotus team at IBM, India Software Lab, Pune.
The project is mainly in Java and VXML using Eclipse IDE and Lotus Notes. Eclipse is an internationally
famous Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tool which has a plug-in based architecture and
provides extension-points for the users to create their own plug-ins. Our project aims at voice-enabling
applications that use the Eclipse framework. Lotus Notes, our test application for the project, is one of
many such applications. Opening and closing documents, creating new calendar events are some of the
actions supported by voice commands.
Address Book Application
This project involved developing an address-book where the contacts are showed and stored to and fro
from a custom made XML file by using DOM parser. The application utilizes Java(swings and
event- handling), XML, XML parsing.

Simulation of Impatience Behavior
A queueing model is used to approximate a real queueing situation or system, so the queueing
behaviour can be analysed mathematically. Incorporated the following two impatience behaviors to
the queueing model: Balking and Reneging to a 1 or 2 server queue model.Balking is the situation
where the customer refuses to join the queue and Reneging is the situation where the customer
leaves the queue. The entire module is developed using java.
Simulation of a Network Over CBR and FTP Protocols
A predefined hypothetical network is simulated using network simulator2 (NS2) using TCL
scripting language.
Implementation of 8KB fully associative cache
Implemented 8KB fully associative cache with LRU replacement technique in Verilog(HDL) using
Model-sim under Prof. T.S.B. Sudarshan, CSIS, BITS-Pilani. A fully associative cache allows the
replacement technique to choose any entry in the cache to hold the copy.In case of a cache miss and
if the cache is full and an entry to the cache needs to be done, the LRU replacement technique
chooses the entry in the cache i.e. least used in the previous few memory transactions and replaces it
with the missed entry.
Demonstration of Advantages of using Windows Live CD during APOGEE 2007, an
international technical festival conducted by BITS-pilani. The Live CD was created using Bart PE
builder. The advantages demonstrated are its use as a disaster management tool and the
portability of Windows platform attained using it.

• Awarded Prestigious CBSE Merit Scholarship by CBSE for Excellence in AIEEE.
• Secured All India 4th place with 415 marks out of 450 in BITSAT-2005, the entrance exam
conducted by BITS-pilani.
• Was considered for the prestigious Aditya Birla Scholarship for Excellence in BITSAT2005.
• Secured All India Rank 206th out of ~ 4,00,000 appeared in AIEEE-2005 conducted by the
CBSE board.
• Secured STATE 275th rank out of ~ 1,14,000 appeared in EAMCET-2005 conducted by the
Andhra Pradesh State
board.
• Ranked State 203rd in the APRJC-2003 entrance exam conducted by APRJC.
