PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Metzger has over 20 years of experience in developing and implementing site investigations and
remediations for industrial clients in support of environmental compliance. His experience has included
soil contamination and groundwater quality assessments, soil remediation projects, Phase I and Phase II
environmental site assessments, assisting technical leads in preparation of environmental compliance
plans, and environmental sampling and analysis.
Typical projects in areas of expertise include:

Project Manager for Corrective Action Plan implementation of current groundwater monitoring
program at True Textiles, Inc. (formerly InterfaceFABRIC, Inc.) textile mill in Elkin, NC. Responsible
for evaluating water quality data, and preparing annual groundwater monitoring reports for Client
submission to North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources;

Management of hazardous and petroleum materials, and site remediation activities for Miller
Industries’ Inc. textile mill sites in Lisbon and Lewiston, Maine;

Prepared Voluntary Cleanup Checklist requested of True Textiles, Inc. (formerly InterfaceFABRIC,
Inc.) textile mill in Elkin, NC by North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Document was used by the State’s Inactive Hazardous Sites Branch to determine if remediation
oversight at the site qualified for the Registered Environmental Consultant Program;

Technical Lead for development and implementation of multi-phase soil and sediment site
investigation and remediation projects, and a RCRA facility groundwater investigation at
InterfaceFLOR in LaGrange, GA. Prepared project reports submitted to Georgia Environmental
Protection Division;

Completed Phase I and Limited Phase II Environmental Site Assessment work for Interface, Inc.;

Prepared Work Plan for True Textiles, Inc. (formerly InterfaceFABRIC, Inc.) for a proposed site
investigation at the Berkshire Weaving, Inc. property in Lancaster, SC, which was required by South
Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control for entering a Voluntary Cleanup Program;
and,
