The mission of the UJ Libraries is to support, facilitate and
develop teaching, learning and research.
Housed in four campuses, the five UJ Libraries cater to

Rare-Book Collection & UJ Archive Collection (DFC,
Ground Level)

UJLink – Catalogue of all UJ Library holdings
•
Databases – Online articles, books, reference
works, theses, reports, proceedings, newspapers etc.

A to Z Journal list – e-Journals & e-Books
•
UJDigispace – UJ Institutional Repository, Theses &
Dissertations (Research output)
•
Special Collections – Manuscripts, rare books, prints,
photos – DFC, Ground Level)
•
Subject Guides – Recommended subject-specific
resources (books, journals, databases, websites, etc.)

To use the electronic collection you are required to
sign on to the library system. You have two
options to do so:
•
By using your UJ email address and password
•
By creating a Library password. Instructions for
creating a password are available on the library
webpage at http://www.uj.ac.za/library
Consult your librarian for assistance if you have difficulty
creating a PASSWORD or if you have forgotten your
PASSWORD.
