Program Options
SPRING START: The Merage School offers a unique lock-step accelerated cohort class that begins in the
spring. Students starting in the spring attend classes for nine consecutive quarters, including summers,
and complete the program in 27 months. During the first five quarters, students attend two three-hour
classes per week on Monday and Wednesday evenings (7-9:50 pm).
FALL START: Students starting in fall attend classes for three quarters each year, excluding summers, and
complete the program in 33 months. During the first five quarters, students attend two three-hour classes
per week – either Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7-9:50 pm) or Wednesday evenings (7-9:50 pm) and
Saturday mornings (8:30 am-11:20 am) or afternoons (1-3:50 pm).
In the last four quarters of both program options, the schedule is determined by electives, offered
Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturdays.
Rankings
The FEMBA program at UC Irvine's Merage School is ranked among the top 40 part-time MBA programs in
the United States (31st in the US and 9th in the Western Region), BusinessWeek, 2009.
The Merage School is consistently ranked in the top 10% of all fully accredited MBA programs in the nation.
