VP Academic ● Curriculum Meeting today ○ APSC 100/101 looks good, exciting changes ● Many meetings with first year physics profs ● Back and Forth with Incite West on Academic Experience Survey ○ Should have a report by the end of August c. VP Administration ● Done one­on­one meetings with club presidents, have collected #feelz on performance funding ○ Will have a group meeting with as much dept. presidents as possible to decide on things to create a motion to vote on in Sept. to change performance funding so more people are more happy ○ Mining found my work schedule “funny” so I haven’t met with them quite yet (doing soon) ● ESC is late, booo ○ booking all the things ○ want all the first floor rooms open if possible ● Project Manager on site is letting us down ○ First years should be walking through on the 8th ○ 10th kiewit night ­ should be good ● Second week closed, potentially ○ UBC Grand Opening on the 23rd ● Will have speakers for BBQs ● ESC purchases have been stalling ○ Potential pool table from Scott’s parents ○ I need help transporting the air hockey table still ● Getting Masaki to buy paint + brushes d. VP Communications ● Got Pub­reps making more things, including an Erica Mason ● Got Kate on nEUSpaper ● Starbucks artwork fell through :( ● Painted the Cairn ● Love my social media people ○ May send VK “diversity” article to UBC Eng ● Working on: Engineering Undergraduate Society c/o Applied Science Dean’s Office University of British Columbia Vancouver

Will be done by Friday. ● WiE and EWB are very slow at answering emails. Both want an additional event added to Week E^0, but haven’t given much concrete info. I’ve given them a deadline of Friday to get back to me, or we go with what we originally planned. g. VP Student Life ● Sports ○ Futsal ­ we have a contract, signed and everything. Only need payment 30 days prior to event ○ Other 2 events, still waiting for REC to get back to us on availability on Fields ● Charity ○ Blood drive this past week, had 3 people, but satisfactory for a summer drive.
