It stimulates research and graduate teaching in the history of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. It enjoys a strong international reputation thanks to the dedication of several research centres that are involved in the Institute, such as the Research Unit for the History of the Middle Ages, the De WulfMansion Centre, Illuminare, the Aristoteles Latinus, and the Seminarium Philologiae Humanisticae. To start the programme, you should have obtained a Master degree (or equivalent) in Humanities by the start of the academic year and display a substantial academic background in the field of study of the Middle Ages and/or the Renaissance.
