TUITION FEE BURSARY
2012 INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES
What is a Chang School Tuition Fee Bursary ?
The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education Tuition Fee Bursary is a non-repayable tuition waiver given on the basis of
financial need and on the student's demonstrated academic objectives and/or performance. Bursaries are targeted to students who would
be unable to continue their studies without such financial aid. Chang School students may apply each term for this bursary.
What is the value of a Chang School Tuition Fee Bursary?
Chang School Tuition Fee Bursaries vary in value up to the full tuition fee of one course depending on the student’s level of need and
available funding to a maximum amount of $600.00.
Who is eligible to apply?
To be eligible to apply for a Chang School Tuition Fee Bursary you must meet the following criteria:
 New students should: indicate on the application form that you are new to The Chang School.
 Returning Chang School students should: have maintained a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or a C average in your
studies to date (please provide proof of attaining 2.0 GPA)
All bursary applicants must:

 Demonstrate financial need and provide proof of income upon submission of the application for each member of your family
unit (as described in part 3 of the application).
 Describe how this bursary would impact your academic/career plan (as described in part 4 of the application).
Who is NOT eligible to apply?
You are not eligible to apply if you are:

How are the recipients chosen and the bursaries distributed?
The Chang School Bursary Selection Committee will evaluate all eligible applications based on the application criteria. If chosen to
receive a bursary, students will be notified by the committee, by email or mail. All applicants will be mailed the results approximately
one to three weeks after the deadlines below. Following notification, your Ryerson University course account will be credited with the
bursary amount. Bursaries are not cash; rather they are a Ryerson tuition credit. They are valid towards tuition fees only. All associated
course costs (e.g., textbooks, supplies, and materials) are the financial responsibility of the student. Bursaries are non-refundable and
must be used within a specified timeframe towards an eligible course.
NOTICE to all students applying for the Chang School Tuition Fee Bursary:
All fees must be paid in full at time of enrollment. If you are successful in your application for a bursary/award and have
