Document the date and time of collection on the request form and/or the container; • Send STAT specimens to the lab immediately. • Refrigerate specimens that cannot be delivered within 1 hour. • See Clean Catch Urine Collection Procedure for instructions. 3 – 15 ml refrigerated urine specimen Alternate Specimens Transport Temperature: Specimen Stability Room temperature or refrigerated.
