Kitsap Mental Health – Keller House

Residential Services located at Keller House is a 16-bed unit. 5 long-term residential beds, and also
provides short-term transitional stabilization services to individuals with severe impairment in
psychosocial functioning and in need of 24-hour support and supervision. Strategic interventions
designed and implemented for skill building in areas of identified deficits, (e.g., daily living skills,
medication management, decision-making, etc.) which are barriers to independent living.

Foster Grandparent Program

First month rent assistance — Help with up-front fees of renting a new place to live.
General rent assistance — Co-payment that aids in a client awaiting eviction from their
residence. Clients must have an eviction notice for help.
Homeless Housing — Emergency shelter in various venues, including cooperating motels.
Generally 2 to 5 nights depending on the situation.
Safe Park — Safe parking for up to five cars for single women who are temporarily living in their
vehicles. This program is for single women only; no children

Emergency housing for single women or, if space allows, single women w/ children, (boys only
up to 10 years of age). Between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., call the Crisis Clinic of Kitsap
County (360) 479-3033 and they will contact the shelter. The shelter requests volunteers do not
call after 10:00 p.m., unless children are involved.

This is a thrift store. They sell low cost furniture, clothing, toys and a variety of household
items. The main store and food bank are in Bremerton. They also can help people in need of
emergency food, rent and electricity. This branch serves only those living in the South Kitsap
School District.
