The BBGID is never reused and remains with the security (in perpetuity). The BBGID does not change as a result of any corporate action. For those clients who use the terminal or subscribe to our back office files, the BBGID will be stored in field ID135 (ID_BB_GLOBAL). In addition for Equity securities and Equity Options for the United States, Canada and Japan and Index Options for the United States, the Composite BBGID will be stored in field ID145 (COMPOSITE_ID_BB_GLOBAL). Top Corporates and Preferreds BBGIDs are allocated to corporate bonds and preferred stock at the security level. All Corporate and Preferred securities, active and inactive, are allocated a BBGID. For securities with multiple tranches, each tranche (or piece) is allocated a BBGID. Examples of multiple tranches on the corporate key are: REGS 144A AI (accredited investor) Registered Bearer DTC International Fungibles (Temporary ISIN) Example: REGS and 144A Tranche Corp Key Security Series Ticker BBGID NROCC 9.375 11/10/24 BBG0027PBVG4 REGS Corp Key Ticker BBGID Security NROCC 9.375 11/10/24 BBG0027P97W2 Series 144A Page |5 Example: 144A and AI Tranche Corp Key Security Series Ticker SJQU F 09/30/36 144A BBGID BBG0000HS885 Corp Key Security Series Ticker SJQU F 09/30/36 AI BBGID BBG0000K2733 Example: DTC and INTL Tranches Corp Key Security Series Ticker EIB 4 10/15/37 DTC BBGID BBG00007S3C3 Corp Key Security Series Ticker BBGID EIB 4 10/15/37 BBG00007Q219 INTL Example: Fungible Security Corp Key Security Series Ticker VKSC 9.875 01/15/18 REGS BBGID BBG00009LGF4 Corp Key Security Series Ticker BBGID VKSC 9.875 01/15/18 BBG0000RBHB7 REGs The BBGID does not change as a result of a corporate action. Top Money Markets Money Market Programs BBGIDs are allocated to both programs and securities in the M-Mkt database. The BBGID does not change as the result of any corporate action. Different program types that are covered under the same document will be allocated different BBGID’s. Example: Euro Commercial paper and Euro Certificate of Deposits issued under a single document. BBGID BBG0013WHY28 BBG0013WHXX6 Ticker DBASA ECP <M-Mkt> DBASA ECD <M-Mkt> Money Market Securities All securities created in the M-Mkt database will be allocated a BBGID. If a security is sent to another Bloomberg Terminal user using MMPL5 <GO>, a new BBGID will be generated for the receiver of the security. Transactions that are executed on the Bloomberg Terminal function BOOM <GO> will generate two unique securities each with a different BBGID for the buyer and the seller. Top Governments: US, Canada, Japan U.S. Treasury Securities All U.S. Treasury securities will be allocated a BBGID at the security level including Bills, Notes, Bonds, TIPS, STRIPS, and Cash Management Bills. For a new issue, the BBGID is generated once the security is created as a “when-issue”. Following the auction, the BBGID will transfer to the active security. Page |8 Example: 12 month Bill new issue BBGID BBG000FWG7T8 BBG000FWG7T8 Ticker WIB 7/28/11 <Govt> (when-issue/pre-auction)* B 7/28/11 <Govt> (auctioned security) For a Reopening, the “when-issue” will adopt the BBGID of the already outstanding security. Following the auction for the reopening, the “when-issue” becomes inactive overnight. Example: 6 month Bill Reopening BBGID BBG000FTH7W0 BBG000FTH7W0 Ticker B 9/9/10 <Govt> (already existing bill) WIB 9/9/10 <Govt> (when-issue for reopening)* *Note: Following the auction of a new issue or a reopening, the when-issue becomes inactive and reverts back to a blank template. There will be no BBGID associated with when-issue templates when inactive. Japan Government Securities All Japanese government securities will be allocated a BBGID. The BBGID will be generated once the security is set up as a “when-issue” in the corporate database. At the time of the auction, if it is determined to be a new issue, a new security is set up and is given a separate BBGID from the “when-issued” security. The “when-issued” security becomes inactive after the first settlement date. At the time of the auction, if it is determined to be a reopening, a new security is setup representing the auction of the reopening and is given a separate BBGID from the “when-issued” security. The new security then funges into the already outstanding security on the first settlement. Example: 40 Year Note Reopening At announcement: At auction: Settle Date: BBGID BBG00003VR08 BBG0014H5GZ6 BBG00002NSX1 Ticker WIJ 2.2 3/20/50 <Corp> (When-issue) JGB 2.2 3/20/50 <Corp> (Represents auction of the reopening)* JGB 2.2 3/20/50 <Corp> (already existing security) *This is a temporary JGB and funges into the already existing security on the settle date. Page |9 Canadian Government Securities All Canadian government securities will be allocated a BBGID. The BBGID will be generated once the security is set up as a “when-issue” in the corporate database. For a new issue, at the time of the auction a new security is setup and given a separate BBGID from the “when-issued” security. The “when-issued” security then becomes inactive. For a reopening, a new BBGID will be assigned to the “when-issue” which will be temporary. At the time of the auction, the when-issue becomes inactive and the already existing security and its corresponding BBGID remain. Example: 5 year note Reopening BBGID BBG0014V0Y81 BBG0000PKK79 Ticker CANW 3 12/1/2015 <Corp> (When-issue) CAN 3 12/1/2015 <Corp> (already existing security) Top Mortgages CMO/ABS/CMBS CMO/ABS/CMBS deals can have numerous tranches which will all be given a BBGID. For preliminary ABS/CMBS deals whose structure will not change prior to finalization, a BBGID is allocated at creation. CMO deals which include Whole Loan and Agencies have multiple structure changes up to finalization, the BBGIDs will not be allocated until the deal has been finalized. After a deal is finalized there is still a possibility that a deal can be amended. If the amendment affects the structure of the deal, the BBGID will no longer be available for the original class. Example of restructure after Finalized RESIF 03-D, the retained class A was amended and restructured into 5 classes, A1-A5. P a g e | 10 Prior to restructure Ticker RESIF 03-D Class A BBGID BBGXXXXXXXX# After restructure Ticker RESIF 03-D Class A1 RESIF 03-D Class A2 RESIF 03-D Class A3 RESIF 03-D Class A4 RESIF 03-D Class A5 BBGID BBG000B61S64 BBG000B61SG3 BBG000B61SJ0 BBG000B61SL7 BBG000B61SN5 (Ticker and BBGID are for reference only) BBGIDs will not be allocated to synthetic securities created through Bloomberg Terminal function PRPL <GO> or preliminary mortgages created under the TEMP or PRLM Tickers. Pool Agency specified pools are loaded directly into our system via feeds received from the pool sources will be assigned a BBGID, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, Canadian and SBA Pools. When the pool is loaded onto Bloomberg, a BBGID will be assigned and will not change on the specified pool. Example of a Pool: Ticker G2 4 <Mtge> BBGID BBG000B43TP4 TBA/Generics BBGIDs are allocated to Generic Mortgages. Example of a Generic Mortgage: Ticker GNSF 5.75 <Mtge> BBGID BBG0033P4G31 Seasoned TBA's do not qualify to trade therefore BBGIDs are not allocated for these securities. BBGIDs are allocated to TBAs at the first of each month. P a g e | 11 Example of TBA: Ticker FNCL 5.5 12/12 <Mtge> BBGID BBG0029PRM75 BBGIDs have been allocated to TBAs with delivery dates +/- one year from current month. Top Municipals All securities on the municipal key will be assigned a BBGID. Example: New Issue Ticker LIN 1.8 12/15/2020 CUSIP 533279CV5 BBGID BBG002FXVFD4 The BBGID will follow the rules and compliances set forth by the MSRB in regard to corporate actions and remarketing of Municipal Securities. Top Equities, Funds and Warrants Equities, Funds and Warrants are allocated a BBGID at the Composite and Exchange Level. A BBGID will be allocated for every exchange within a market and at the composite level. To determine the current listed BBGIDs, a user may reference field DS395 for LISTED_EXCH_OF_COMPOSITE. For those countries where DS395 = DS291, two BBGIDs are allocated: An Exchange Level BBGID and a Composite Level BBGID. The field DS395 (LISTED_EXCH_OF_COMPOSITE) returns the two letter equity exchange code, where available, for the local exchanges on which the security trades under its composite. The field DS291 (COMPOSITE_EXCH_CODE) returns the 2 letter composite exchange code. P a g e | 12 There will be two separate calcrout fields: ID135 will store BBGIDs for every unique exchange code that exists in the Equity Database. This will include BBGIDs for both Composites and Local exchanges. ID145 will store a Composite BBGID only, regardless if a separate exchange code exists for the Composite in that country. Examples of the BBGID: Overview of Composites and Exchange Level BBGID US Market Ticker Exchange Code BBGID IBM (US Composite) IBM US BBG000BLNNH6 IBM (NYSE) IBM UN BBG000BLNQ16 German Market Ticker Exchange Code BBGID IBM (German Composite) IBM GR BBG000K23JG0 IBM (Frankfurt Exchange) IBM GF BBG000K23JT6 Sweden (DS395 = DS291) Ticker Exchange Code BBGID SAND SS (Composite) SAND SS BBG000BR0GF5 SAND SS (Stockholm) SAND SS BBG000BR0GN6 PAY SS (Composite) PAY SS BBG000M1XXY6 PAY NG (Nordic GM) PAY NG BBG000M1XZ80 Sweden Ticker Exchange Code BBGID Taiwan (DS395 = DS291)* Ticker Exchange Code BBGID 2883 TT (Composite) 2883 TT BBG000LH0597 2883 TT (Taiwan Stock Exchange) 2883 TT BBG000LH0640 Taiwan (DS395 = DS291)* Ticker Exchange Code BBGID 6121 TT (Composite) 6121 TT BBG000C6GB73 6121 TT (GreTai Securities Market) 6121 TT BBG000C6GBQ2 * Taiwan is a special case where one Exchange Code represents the Country Composite and the Local Exchanges which are the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the GreTai Securities Market. P a g e | 13 Within a Composite and Exchange Level (US Composite) Ticker Exchange Code BBGID IBM (US Composite) IBM US BBG000BLNNH6 IBM (NYSE) IBM UN BBG000BLNQ16 IBM (NYSE Arca) IBM UP BBG000BLNQG0 Within a Composite and Exchange Level (GR Composite) Ticker Exchange Code BBGID IBM (German Composite) IBM GR BBG000K23JG0 IBM (Frankfurt Exchange) IBM GF BBG000K23JT6 IBM (Berlin Exchange) IBM GB BBG000K23Q10 All securities (Equities, Funds and Warrants), active and inactive, are allocated a BBGID. The assignment of the BBGID has been enhanced for historical inactive securities. Previously, inactive tickers prior to August 2010 had only received a single BBGID at the Composite Level (COMPOSITE_ID_BB_GLOBAL). Historical inactive securities now have a granular exchange-level ID_BB_GLOBAL. The COMPOSITE_ID_BB_GLOBAL which had previously been populated in the ID_BB_GLOBAL remains linked to the security in the COMPOSITE_ID_BB_GLOBAL field. Open-End Funds and Private Companies are excluded from preassignment and a single BBGID is allocated when the ticker is added to the system. For these securities ID135 = ID145. Private Companies where a single BBGID is allocated (ID135 = ID145), if the Private Company becomes a listed entity, the ID_BB_GLOBAL will be allocated for the exchanges with in that market. For those countries where DS395 = DS291, the Exchange Level BBGID is allocated and available via the field ID135. There are Composite Exchange Codes that also represent the Exchange Level Exchange Code. These are cases where DS395 = DS291. Enhancements to the exchanges codes may take place where these Exchange Level Exchanges Codes are assigned a separate Exchange Code. Example: Romania Exchange Code RO represents Composite and Exchange Level Ticker Exchange Code BBGID SNP (Romanian Composite) SNP RO BBG000DTQ7H9 SNP (Bucharest Exchange) SNP RO BBG000DTQ869 P a g e | 14 Exchange Code RE introduced to represent Exchange Level Ticker Exchange Code BBGID SNP (Romanian Composite) SNP RO BBG000DTQ7H9 SNP (Bucharest Exchange) SNP RE BBG000DTQ869 If a security is sent to another Bloomberg Terminal user using EQPL <GO>, 2 <GO>, a new BBGID will be generated for the receiver of the security. The BBGID does not change as a result of a corporate action. Examples – the BBGID remains with the security Ticker Change: The BBGID for the Composite Exchange, the Primary and each Regional Exchange moves to the new ticker. A BBGID is not assigned to the old ticker – any ticker with a MARKET_STATUS (PR286) of TKCH is not assigned a BBGID. Example of a Ticker Change: GNV US => SAR US Composite Old Ticker GNV US BBGID BBG000Q6S3Z2 Composite New Ticker SAR US BBGID BBG000Q6S3Z2 Primary GNV UN BBG000Q6S5V1 Primary SAR UN BBG000Q6S5V1 Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional GNV UD GNV UT GNV UP GNV UF GNV UB GNV UL GNV UC GNV UO GNV UM GNV UX GNV VK GNV VJ GNV VY BBG000Q6SB75 BBG000Q6S7J1 BBG000Q6S685 BBG000Q6SBN7 BBG000Q6S6Q5 BBG000Q6SBC9 BBG000Q6S4H0 BBG000Q6S9X1 BBG000Q6S7Q3 BBG000Q6S818 BBG000Q6SCL7 BBG000Q6SCD6 BBG000Q6SC73 Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional SAR UD SAR UT SAR UP SAR UF SAR UB SAR UL SAR UC SAR UO SAR UM SAR UX SAR VK SAR VJ SAR VY BBG000Q6SB75 BBG000Q6S7J1 BBG000Q6S685 BBG000Q6SBN7 BBG000Q6S6Q5 BBG000Q6SBC9 BBG000Q6S4H0 BBG000Q6S9X1 BBG000Q6S7Q3 BBG000Q6S818 BBG000Q6SCL7 BBG000Q6SCD6 BBG000Q6SC73 When referencing the old ticker GNV US and any Regional Ticker, a BBGID is not associated with the old ticker. The above example is to show how the BBGID moves to the new ticker. Ticker Change across Exchange Codes: While ticker changes typically occur within the same exchange code, there are exceptions where ticker symbols can change across different exchange codes. These ticker changes will work the same way and the Composite BBGID (ID145) will move over P a g e | 15 to the new symbol. The examples where these ticker changes occur are within the Swiss and London markets: VX --> SW The Composite BBGID (ID145) from Exchange Code VX is applied to the Exchange Code SW. LI --> LN or LN--> LI The Composite BBGID (ID145) from Exchange Code LI is applied to the Exchange Code LN or the Composite BBGID (ID145) from Exchange Code LN is applied to the Exchange Code LI. Change in Listing: The BBGID of the Composite Ticker remains. The BBGID of the old Primary Exchange can be referenced with the old Exchange. If the security is no longer listed on Regional Exchanges as result of the Change in Listing, the BBGID for Regional Exchange can be referenced with the old exchange. Example of Change in Listing: EXBD US Equity Change in listing NASDAQ GS => New York NASDAQ GM Composite Ticker EXBD US BBGID BBG000BNRD35 New York Composite Ticker EXBD US BBGID BBG000BNRD35 Primary EXBD UW BBG000BNRNX0 Primary EXBD UN BBG000BNRGZ3 Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional EXBD UA EXBD UP EXBD UB EXBD UC EXBD UM EXBD UL EXBD UX EXBD UO EXBD UD EXBD UF EXBD VK EXBD VJ BBG000BNRDF2 BBG000BNRH63 BBG000BNRHT8 BBG000BNRF67 BBG000BNRK20 BBG000BNRMM4 BBG000BNRKB0 BBG000BNRLC7 BBG000BNRMB6 BBG000BNRQ81 BBG000BNRQZ1 BBG000BNRQS9 Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional Regional EXBD UA EXBD UP EXBD UB EXBD UC EXBD UM EXBD UL EXBD UX EXBD UO EXBD UD EXBD UF EXBD VK EXBD VJ EXBD UT BBG000BNRDF2 BBG000BNRH63 BBG000BNRHT8 BBG000BNRF67 BBG000BNRK20 BBG000BNRMM4 BBG000BNRKB0 BBG000BNRLC7 BBG000BNRMB6 BBG000BNRQ81 BBG000BNRQZ1 BBG000BNRQS9 BBG000BNRJ23 Historical EXBD UW BBG000BNRNX0 Example of Change in Listing: STORM NO Equity Change in listing Norwegian OTC => Oslo Stock Exchange Norwegian OTC Composite Ticker STORM NO BBGID BBG000R2T174 Oslo SE Composite Ticker STORM NO BBGID BBG000R2T174 Primary STORM NS BBG000R2T2F3 Primary STORM NO BBG000R2T1X5 Historical STORM NS BBG000R2T2F3 P a g e | 16 Delisting: The BBGID continues to exist for the Composite, the Primary and each Regional exchange. Example: XOM US Equity buys MOB US Equity. MOB US Equity delists. BBGID remains the same for both securities. Reverse Merger => BBGID will not change on A or B - it will remain the same for each security. Example: FIS US Equity acquires 683279Z US Equity. FIS US Equity changes name from Certegy Inc to Fidelity National Information Services Inc. BBGID remains the same for both securities. A and B combine to form C => BBGID will not change on A or B. A and B delist and the BBGID remains the same. A new BBGID is created for newly formed company. P a g e | 17 Example: GLXO LN Equity and SB/ LN Equity form GSK LN Equity. GLXO LN Equity and SB/ LN Equity delist. BBGIDs remain the same for each security. A BBGID is created for the newly formed company, GSK LN Equity. Spin-Off: A spins off B. B is a new company => The BBGID remains the same for A and a BBGID is allocated for the new company B. Example: MO US Equity spins off PM US Equity. BBGID remains the same for MO US Equity and a BBGID is allocated for PM US Equity. A spins off B. B is an existing company. Example: MO US Equity spins off KFT US Equity. BBGID remains the same for MO US Equity and KFT US Equity. When Issued and When Distributed Tickers: A security that is admitted to When Issued trading is traded before it has actually been issued. This may happen before the security makes its official appearance in Regular Way trading on an exchange. In a more common scenario, however, shares of a security may trade When Issued alongside the shares that already trade Regular Way (Ex-Distribution shares often trade When Issued in this way). Example of Conventional Ticker: Ticker SAP4M <Index> BBGID BBG000ZDMKQ5 Time Series Tickers: Tickers are created by adding a tail to the end of the base ticker. Base tickers are the conventional tickers. A ticker uses a conventional base ticker and subsequent “tails” to store multiple data types within the same security. Each individual “tail” ticker will have its own BBGID. Month, quarter, season and year-specific root tickers provide pricing for specific time periods when combined with a tail that represents the month and year, quarter and year, season and year, or calendar year. Tails consist of one or two letters that represent the month or season, or the letter Q and the numbers 1-4 to represent each quarter, followed by the last two digits of the year. For example: MIDCQ Q110 <Index> HP <GO> will return Mid-Columbia Quarter 1 2010 (Jan-March) pricing has been allocated BBGID BBG000XB4Q06. Prior to August 2010, the allocation of the BBGID for inactive securities is at the Composite Level. The allocation of the BBGID for inactive Equity Options is available as defined below: US Equity as of July 1, 2009 Eurex Equity as of August 1, 2009 International Equity as of May 20, 2010 The allocation of the BBGID for inactive Index Options is available as defined below: US Index as of December 2, 2005 Eurex Index as of October 2, 2009 International Index as of May 20, 2010 BBGID allocation, for Equity Options listed in Argentina, is slightly delayed due to timing of new listings from the exchange which is typically a day after listing. The BBGID remains with the security and does not change as a result of a corporate action. Examples – the BBGID remains with the security Ticker Change – also known as symbol conversions: The Composite and Exchange Level BBGID does not change as a result of a Ticker Change. Delisting: If underlying equity is delisted alongside the options, the BBGID continues to exist for P a g e | 28 the Composite and Exchange Level. Acquisition: If the underlying is acquired and results in the options moving to a new underlying, the BBGID move with the strikes. If the option tickers change as a result, the BBGID moves to the adjusted options. Merger: A Merger usually results in adjusted options with new deliverables. The BBGID moves to adjusted options. Stock Split: Typically the strikes changes for Stock Splits. When the strikes change the BBGID moves to the adjusted strikes. Reverse Stock Split: Typically the strikes change for Reverse Stock Split. When strikes change the BBGID moves to the newly adjusted strikes. Distribution: This will likely result in adjusted options with new deliverables and/or new strikes. The BBGID moves to the adjusted options. Cash Dividend: This will likely result in adjusted options with new deliverables. The BBGID moves to the adjusted options. Stock Dividend: This will likely result in adjusted options with new deliverables. The BBGID moves to the adjusted options. Spin-Off: This will likely result in adjusted options with possible new underlying and new deliverables. The BBGID moves to the adjusted options. The same strikes can and will be listed on multiple exchanges. If the strike should delist on one of those exchanges, there will be no change to the BBGID and the BBGID continues to exist for that security at the Composite and Exchange Level (for the US and Japan). Generation Number: The BBGID does not change when a new Generation is listed. The Bloomberg ticker is for the most current generation and will not include a G tail in the P a g e | 29 ticker, while prior generation tickers will include the G tail. Example: Ticker BAS GR 12 P50 G3 Equity BAS GR 12 P50 Equity Generation Prior Generation 3 Current Generation 4 (no G ticker needed) BBGID BBG00020XBB3 BBG002C70GD6 If a new Generation (Generation 5) is introduced, the "then" current generation ticker will then incorporate the G tail in the Bloomberg ticker: BAS GR 12 P50 G4 Equity. Top Equity Futures Equity futures are allocated a BBGID at the security level. Example of BBGID for Equity Future Ticker IBM=U2 OC <Equity> BBGID BBG002F43VC5 If additional contracts are added, a BBGID is generated as the securities are added to the system. The BBGID continues to exist as securities expire or are no longer listed. Generic Future tickers are allocated a BBGID. Example of BBGID for Generic Future Ticker IBM=4 OC <Equity> BBGID BBG000S52WG7 The BBGID does not change as a result of a corporate action. Examples – the BBGID remains with the security As a result of various corporate actions on the underlying equity, typically the deliverables of the equity futures will need to change. Stock splits, reverse stock splits, mergers, cash distributions, cash dividends all constitute possible action on the futures. Depending on the exchange, either a new ‘adjusted’ security is created or the adjustment is made to the existing security. When New Adjusted Future is Needed As a result of various corporate actions, if a new ‘adjusted’ ticker is created, the BBGID will not change and will move to this new ‘adjusted’ record. P a g e | 30 When Adjustment made on Existing Ticker As a result of various corporate actions, if the adjustment is made on current security, the BBGID will not change. Any new futures contracts that are listed as a result of the underlying corporate action are new securities and therefore are allocated a BBGID as they are added to the system. Top BBGID – Entity Level Overview The BBGID at the Entity Level is allocated once the entity has been created. A BBGID is allocated at the Entity Level for the following Issuer Types: Company Municipal Fundamentals Government Municipals Funds Lead Manager Fund Family Currency Fund Parent Commodity Mortgage For those clients who use the terminal or subscribe to our back office files, the Entity Level BBGID will be available in the following fields: ID223 ID_BB_GLOBAL_COMPANY ID224 ID_BB_GLOBAL_PARENT_CO ID225 ID_BB_GLOBAL_ULTIMATE_PARENT_CO An Entity Level BBGID is never reused and will not change once allocated. Entity Level Entity Level BBGID and Corporate Actions: Name Changes The name associated with the Entity Level BBGID is changed to reflect the new name of the company and there is no change to BBGID. Example: Philip Morris Cos Inc with BBGID BBG001FDZ799 changes its name to Altria Group Inc. All Altria Group securities (formerly Philip Morris) continue to hold the Entity Level BBGID BBG001FDZ799. P a g e | 31 Acquired Company The acquired company and acquiring company keep their original Entity Level BBGID. Example: The Boeing Co acquires McDonnell Douglas Corp. Boeing has an Entity Level BBGID of BBG001FDY7R0 and McDonnell Douglas has an Entity Level BBGID of BBG001FDZ0J3. The Entity Level BBGIDs do not change. Two companies merge (merger of equals) The two companies will retain their Entity Level BBGIDs. A new Entity Level BBGID is created for newly formed company. Example: Atlantic Energy Inc with Entity Level BBGID BBG001FDY549 merges with Delmarva Power & Light Co with Entity Level BBGID BBG001FDYH07 to form Conectiv. Since it is a new company, Conectiv is allocated the Entity Level BBGID BBG001FMDJF0. Two companies merge (one integrates into the other with name change) The two companies will retain their Entity Level BBGIDs and name change will be performed on active company. Example: Deans Food Co with Entity Level BBGID BBG001FDYGX3 merges with and into Blackhawk Acquisition Corp with Entity Level BBGID BBG001FQJDQ6. Blackhawk Acquisition Corp then changes its name to Dean Holding Co. The Entity Level BBGIDs for Deans Food Co and Blackhawk Acquisition Corp (nka Dean Holding Co) do not change. The company reorganizes/forms a holding company If a company forms a holding company above it, that holding company will be given its own Entity Level BBGID. If the company was a listed company and a holding company is formed most times this reorganization is treated as a name change. If that is the case the Entity Level BBGID now becomes that of the Holding Company and a new Entity Level BBGID will be assigned to the subsidiary. Example: Bank of Asheville with Entity Level BBGID BBG001FN9BW1 is a listed bank. The bank formed a holding company above it – this being Weststar Financial Services Corp. This reorganization as treated as a name change. The Entity Level BBGID remains the same as BBG001FN9BW1 and the name changes to Weststar Financial Services Corp. To represent the bank, the Bank of Asheville, a new Entity Level BBGID BBG001HC8799 is created. All debt that was issued by the bank and remains an obligation of the bank is associated with this new Entity Level BBGID to be in alignment with the issuer name. Spin-off When there is spin-off the newly formed company is allocated an Entity Level BBGID. Based on the terms of the spin-off, there can be debt that is now represented by the P a g e | 32 newly formed company. Example: Marriott International Inc (Old) spins off Marriott International Inc (New) and has a name change to Sodexho Marriott Services Inc and the original Entity Level BBGID remains as BBG001FFRPX6. Marriott International Inc (Old) changes its name change to Sodexho Marriott Services Inc and retains its original Entity Level BBGID BBG001FFRPX6. The newly formed company Marriott International Inc (New) is allocated an Entity Level BBGID BBG001FMG530. With the terms of this spin-off, some debt is represented by Sodexho Marriott Services Inc, with Entity Level BBGID BBG001FFRPX6 and some debt is represented by the newly formed company, Marriott International Inc (New), with Entity Level BBGID BBG001FMG530. Top BBGID – Share Class Level Overview A BBGID will be allocated at the Share Class Level once the security has been created. Multiple listings of the same security share class will be assigned the same global identifier at this level. This level of BBGID assignment will link or connect all composite global identifiers that represent the same share class. Since this identifier can be linked to more than one equity ticker, it will not load a single security. This field will only show data for applicable securities, and excludes warrants.
