INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING FOR
BIOL 150, FIELD STUDIES IN NATURAL HISTORY 2016
1. Fill out the Registration Form (second page of this PDF). Most of the relevant course
information has already been added. Leave the line with “Permission Number” and
“Instructor’s Signature” blank
2. Email the form to Stan Vaughn, stanley.vaughn@sjsu.edu. If you can’t email it, send it
by regular mail to:

3. Stan will sign the form and add the Permission Number (it’s his authorization for adding
you to the course) and then will forward the completed form the Registrar. He will send
you confirmation of this.
4. Note that the instructions in the heading of the Registration Form tell you to send the
form to the Registrar. Ignore those instructions; send the form to Stan Vaughn
instead.
5. Allow about a week after receiving Stan’s confirmation for the registration to percolate
through the SJSU system, and only then follow the instructions in the heading of the
Registration Form to pay the $295 course tuition to the Bursar’s Office. If you send the
money to the Bursar’s Office before they have a record of your registration for the
course, they won’t be able to process your payment and will probably return it to you.
6. Please sign up for the March 11 mandatory pre-trip meeting at
http://doodle.com/poll/2uip5qyu7xe2kfqv . Provide both your name and your email
address.

your MySJSU regularly for updates on your tuition fees.
