SPECIAL NOTICES
Biology and Chemistry Classes: Campbell University has been granted permission to offer Biology and Chemistry
classes at the JSOMTC to support the BHS degree program. The facility is available for ACTIVE DUTY students
only. Students must see a Campbell University, Fort Bragg Campus counselor for approval prior to registration.
Common User Name and Password: New students at the Fort Bragg and Pope Campuses receive a Common User
Name and Password within 24 hours after their admission application is activated. The Common User Name and
Password is used to login to Student E-mail, WebAccess, Blackboard, and the Wiggins Library. Student E-mail,
WebAccess, and Blackboard accounts are created at the same time as the Common User Name and Password. A student’s
Campbell e-mail address (http://www.email.campbell.edu) is used for all official communication from the home campus
and from instructors to students. All students taking classes are loaded into the Blackboard course site with their Campbell
e-mail address. WebAccess (https://wa.campbell.edu) is used for online registration, add and drop actions, informal
graduation audit, checking final grades, financial accounts, and a number of other services. Blackboard
(https://www.blackboard.campbell.edu/webapps/login/) is used for courses regardless of instruction mode. WebAccess
must be accessed before Blackboard.
Login Information: For assistance contact the Helpdesk at 800-334-4111 Ext 1208. You will need your Student ID
number.
User Name: [First Initial][Middle Initial][Last Name][Birth Month][Birth Day]
(Birthdates are 2 digits)
(If no middle initial, an underscore is used)
Password for student email: [First Initial][Last Initial]last 6 of your social security number]
Password for WebAccess/Blackboard:
Password: [Camp][last 6 of your social security number] Example: Camp123456
Note: All months and days will be converted to 2 digit format; therefore 5/7 becomes 0507
“GoArmyEd” for Active Duty Army Students: All active duty, Reservists and National Guard Army introduced the
GoArmyEd system for all active duty Army soldiers worldwide. All Active Duty Army students using Tuition Assistance
and/or TopUp must register for classes only through the GoArmyEd portal. This requirement applies to all new or
continuing Army students. The portal must be used for all application, registration, change of majors,
add/drop/withdrawal, Tuition Assistance, and TopUp actions.
Pre-registration for Army students: Because the GoArmyEd system prevents Army students from registering for
classes more than 8-weeks before the start of a term, Army students would not have the same benefit as other students to
register for classes needed for the 12-credit hour minimum for financial aid consideration. To satisfy various registration
needs, Army students will have the opportunity to pre-register for the Spring II and Fall II terms to meet financial aid
requirements. Pre-registration forms are available only at the Fort Bragg office. See the staff there for further
information; this action cannot be completed through GoArmyEd.
COMPASS Placement Testing: A student who does not have transfer credit for ENGL 101, a SAT Verbal minimum score of 450
or an ACT minimum score of 19 may take the COMPASS English placement test prior to registering for any English class. Completion
of the placement test will determine if the student must take ENGL 100, or if that prerequisite may be waived and registration for ENGL
101 is permitted. A student who chooses not to take the placement test will be required to take ENGL 100. The COMPASS test is
available at the National Testing Center. Please contact the Counseling staff at your home campus for guidance and instructions.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
General: All students should register through their home campus. The Fort Bragg site is located in Wing B, Bragg Training and
Education Center on Knox Street. The Pope site is located in the Airmen Readiness Center, Bldg 430 on Armistead Street. Students
must be aware of course pre-requisites and must have them completed prior to the beginning of the course. Campbell University
reserves the right to limit enrollment and to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment.
Registration: Online Registration, except for active duty Army, is conducted through the WebAccess service for both Fort Bragg
and Pope students. Online Registration via WebAccess is subject to the following criteria:





Must be a degree seeking student with Campbell University, whose home campus is either Fort Bragg or Pope AAF.
Must have completed a minimum of 6 semester hours of Campbell University at the time you register.
Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher for all course work completed at Campbell University.
Must have a completed Evaluation of Transfer Credits and a SOCAD or degree plan from Campbell University.
There are no financial or academic holds on your record.
For additional information regarding WebAccess please call the Fort Bragg Office (436-3242). Students not eligible for WebAccess
Registration must register in person during the Walk-In period.
Active Duty Army students must register through the GoArmyEd portal to use Tuition Assistance. No other method of registration
will be accepted. The portal must also be used for any Add, Drop, or Withdrawal actions. The Fort Bragg or Pope offices cannot
process these actions unless initiated through the portal. The Fort Bragg office has student access computers and trained personnel to
assist students in conducting these actions. Please ask for assistance.
Internet Courses: Internet courses are offered completely online and are available to all students that demonstrate satisfactory
academic progress. You may register for an Internet Course either online or in person. Only two internet courses per semester are
permitted. Registration for internet courses is not permitted after noon on the third day of the term.
*NOTE-Blackboard participation from the beginning of the term is counted towards attendance. Therefore, it is required to
access Blackboard on the first day of the term.
Blended Courses: Blended courses are a mix of in-class and online formats. They are available to any student regardless of course
work completion. Normal registration rules and procedures apply. Blended courses include a component of teaching utilizing the
internet. You must be familiar with using the internet and you must have the compatible computer equipment for internet instruction.
Once registered, you will be able to view your schedule in WebAccess. The instructor will be the one to determine when the course is
available through blackboard. Students should expect to access the course site NLT the first day of the term and should definitely
access it before the first scheduled class. See class listing for the night of the in-class meeting.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Tuition: Tuition cost is $250.00 per semester hour for all undergraduate courses. Tuition cost for internet courses is $275.00 per
semester hour. A technology of fee of $15.00 per term is required for all students. Biology and chemistry lab fee is $40.00 per 4
semester hour course. Tuition is payable at the time of registration by cash, personal check, MasterCard, or Visa. A deferred payment
plan is available at no additional cost with final payment being due NLT the last day of the semester.
Federal Financial Aid
Complete the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) on the web at www.fafsa.ed.gov; Campbell University’s school code is
002913. When you enter this code it will bring up Campbell University, Buies Creek; this is correct due to the fact that Main Campus
handles processing of all financial aid packets. For more information in regards to processing, please call the Financial Aid office at 1800-334-4111, ext. 1297.
Military Tuition Assistance:
Active duty and reserve military personnel may use military tuition assistance that may pay up to 100% of tuition depending on the
availability of funds.
Army Students: Both active duty and reservists must register through the GoArmyEd portal. Army TA is processed and
approved electronically through the GoArmyEd portal. The Army Education Center will not approve military Tuition
Assistance if you have an “I” grade.
Air Force Students: Under the new Air Force Tuition Assistance (TA) Policy, your form is electronically approved through
the Education Office; however, you must still submit a printed copy of the approval to the Campbell Fort Bragg/ Pope
Business Office by May 26, 2014. Without a printed copy, we will be unable to bill the Air Force for your classes and
you will receive a bill from Campbell University Main Campus.
**All other military branches should contact their servicing Education Center to request tuition assistance.**
