library collection for optimum utilization
of information resources available and to
noursih the spirit of independent and lifelong learning.
3. To document research papers written by
students and academics of FM GMU in
efforts to develop institutional local
contents accessible by the public.

Library Reader's Ticket is assigned for users
outside FM GMU. The Ticket is valid for 6
months. Requisites for a Reader's Ticket are:
- 1 latest colored photograph, 2x3 cm
- Fee Rp. 50.000

internal community of FM GMU. Requisites for
membership:
- 1 latest colored photograph, 2x3 cm
- Gratis for undergraduate student, fee Rp.
30.000 for postgraduate students

COLLECTIONS
The collections of the Library of FM GMU are
available in both printed and non-printed
formats
- Printed collections include text books,
reference books, magazines, journals,
research papers, and newspapers.
- Non-printed collections include CDs/DVDs,
video streaming , e-books, online
journals/database.
As per June 2012 the collections consist of
8.390 titles of text books (12.683 copies),
13.179 titles of research papers, 454 titles of
printed journals (national and international
publications), 6.778 titles of e-books.

ONLINE DATABASES
The Library subscribes to online databases
such as The Cochrane Library
(www.thecochranelibrary.com), ClinicalKey
(www.clinicalkey.com) and ScienceDirect
(www.sciencedirect.com). The databases can
be accessed from http://libmed.ugm.ac.id
within campus network.
LOAN SERVICE
Undergraduate and Professional students are
entitled to borrow 2 books; postgraduate
students and staff of FM GMU can borrow 3
books at a time within 14 days. Loan can be
renewed twice when the book is not reserved
by others. Renewal can be requested via SMS
to (0274) 8317706 and when the loan is not
yet overdue. Charge for overdue books is Rp.
1.000/day/book.

JOURNAL SERVICE
Printed journal collections are available for onsite reading or photocopy. The Library also
provides certain electronic journal articles
available both for offline and online access.
There are over 1,000 titles of subscribed online
journals available at the Library of FM GMU.
RESEARCH PAPER SERVICE
Research paper collection includes papers
(skripsi), theses, dissertations and research
reports written by the academics of FM GMU.
The collection is available for on-site reading or
photocopy. Users photocopying research
paper collection must fill in certain form
stating that photocopying is requested only for
academic purposes.
SPECIAL COLLECTION SERVICE
Special collection at the Library of FM GMU
consists of WHO publications and reserve
collection (stock). The collection is provided

for use in the library or for a photocopy of
certain parts as needed.
ELECTRONIC LIBRARY SERVICE
The service offered at Electronic Library
section includes the provision of computer
terminals for Internet access and other
academic purposes, scanning of
documents/images, literature/document
search, printing, file conversion, bookmarking,
and CD labelling. Use of computer terminal is
charged Rp. 1000/hour for undergraduate
students and Rp. 2,000/hour for postgraduate
students.
PHOTOCOPY SERVICE
Photocopy service is provided at the tariff of
Rp. 150/per page.
ROOM AND FACILITY SERVICE
The Library provides rooms and facilities that
can be used to hold activities such as seminars,
workshops, lectures, exams, etc.

The service is offered to help students make
English version of abstracts of their
paper/thesis.

LITERATURE SEARCH SKILLS
Students need to have skills in searching
information and certain literature. The library
gives guidance in searching, especially to new
students who are not yet familiar with the
availability of library resources and online
databases. Guidance is given in groups or
individually as requested.
WIFI ACCESS
Registration for WiFi access within the medical
campus is served by IT Unit located at Floor 2
of Library Building.
