BTEC National Diploma & A2 Combinations
Students offering level 3 BTEC qualifications will need to complete a science A2. Entry is
typically considered with the BTEC Diploma and one science A2 (suitable subjects and units).
We do not accept the BTEC Extended Diploma as a standalone qualification.
The information below details the BTEC units required depending on the science A2 that is
taken. Please note we also consider 2 A2 and subsidiary BTEC combinations, but given the large
number of possible combinations do not list what we would require here. We will also consider
those presenting with a non-science A2 on a case by case basis.
All potential applicants are advised to contact the department in advance to check that your
combinations are suitable for entry. Please also note that applicants offering a BTEC will need
to pass an interview.
