o Press conference about the NCAA ruling about the preseason practice in the 2003
season; we are appealing the ruling in regards to playoff penalties.
o New Housing project: Thurs, Sept 29 at 10:30 press conference for ground
breaking on the west of campus (look for tent)–three parts, new apartments, Lima
Hall renovations, Greek Village

o Constitutional Review meeting 9 on Thursday

Academic Affairs
o Meeting with Anne Lippert went well
•
Athletics and Physical Wellness
o T-shirt problem is being solved by a student L contest. There is an impressive
prize package. The deadline for submitting your idea is next Tuesday.
o Swim team is also playing at Mount Union the day the football team is. Come
cheer on the swim team at 2:00!
o Bus sign up begins Monday. First come, first serve. Get your tickets early, there
is only room for a 100 people

Campus Organizations
o ONU Girls Scouts is seeking approval, along with ONU Streetracers, and the
Smart Money Society.
o Organizations packets online? Also a facebook style web based rooster for Orgs
coming this year.

o Need to meet with college reps about bulletin board.
o Dicke has a plasma screen to use instead.

Finance
o Wed Oct 12 & 19 is budget appropriations meeting
o Increasing the total to $1100 for Leadership Award Prize

o Clark Hall to amend visitation hours for upperclassmen

o Greek Info night had 3 freshmen there. That is a 300% increase from last year ☺

o Housing elections next week, we have a great deal of people running

o Harambe Festival a huge success,
o t-shirts for Multicultural committee coming… logos will have circles and you can
put the circles together for different organizations working together.
o Mactivity Oct 4 is piñata contest, piñata making for dummies

o Speaker this Friday, 5 K race this Saturday $20
o Pharmacy: Operation Lifesaver looking to raise $1000 for Hurricane victims for
diabetes supplies. For every $250 raised there will be a cross dressing professor!

Operation Lifesaver: Oct 29 or Nov 5 football game profits will go to Hurricane relief
o No penny war, instead “The power of a dollar”… challenge everyone to donate a
dollar, and give up a can of pop. Door to door collection, RA’s will ask
o Separate account for funds in the controllers office
o Kindness for Katrina needs acts; there will be an NBS slide show
o Jugs in NOM, admissions, administration places
o Mailroom: enormous amount of donations coming in, Engineers taking it to the
post office in Lima
