SOFTWARE
Part of the Becker program is the use of PassMaster® and the Simulation Software. All
homework questions are contained on these two software programs. PassMaster®
contains thousands of prior exam multiple-choice and Other Objective Answer Format
questions for your use in preparation. The homework necessary to reinforce the concepts
introduced in the lectures is organized on a lecture-by-lecture basis. The Simulation
Software contains simulations organized by lecture for the sections of the exam that are
incorporating simulations: Financial Accounting & Reporting, Auditing & Attestation, and
Regulation. The Simulation Software also provides a comprehensive final exam for each
part. The Business Environment & Concepts section does not currently contain
simulations. Also, the topical areas of law, governmental, and not-for-profit accounting
will not contain simulations. We have included in the Simulation Software simulations in
this these topical areas. We believe exposure to the technology and content tested in
these areas is advantageous to the candidate. We have prepared comprehensive tutorials,
which are accessible on the CD you received with your course materials, on both of these
software programs. Please review the tutorials before using these programs.
NOTE: There is no longer any guarantee that the examiners will not use simulations
to test governmental and not for profit topics. Be sure to work all your
simulations, including the governmental and not for profit simulations. The
AICPA may use simulations for these topics.
F9 Lecture:
The national lecturer makes a couple of references to governmental and not-for-profit accounting
being tested exclusively within the multiple choice question testlets. As indicated above this is no
longer a true statement.

Note that there may will not be a simulation on this topic on the exam. This simulation is
provided for you to reinforce the material and give you additional practice with the user
interface and functionality of simulations.
