Hyrum City would like to invite you, as a senior in High School to participate in our Hyrum City
Royalty Pageant to be a representative of Hyrum throughout the next year. We are excited to
have you participate in this pageant and the workshop prior to the pageant. We feel like we have
some exciting things that can help you as you graduate from High School and move onto bigger
and better events in your life. Five girls will be selected to represent Hyrum City at various city
events and parades throughout the valley. Finalists are expected to be at the summer parades
and extremely committed to representing the City. Work and vacations should be scheduled
around parade dates. Funeral and illness are exceptions. There are a few parades. If you are
going away to attend school, you will be excused from the float assignment at that time. One of
the more important events is the Patriotic Program prior to the 4 th of July.
The pageant will be held Friday, March 20th at 7:00 p.m. at the Hyrum Civic Center (83 West
Main). Citizens, family and friends are invited to attend.
Prior to the pageant on March 20th from 2:30 there will be a workshop to help you prepare for
the pageant. Tips for interviews, walking, sitting, poise onstage, etc. will be taught. This alone
will be valuable for helping you in a job interviews and other aspects of life. Here you will write
your personal bio to be read at the pageant. The questions that you could be asked onstage will
also be given to you so you can prepare ahead. After the workshop you will be randomly taken
in for an individual interview with the judges. You can plan on about a 10 minute interview.

Interviews (35 pts)
Self-presentation/Biography (25 pts)
Impromptu Questions (30 pts)
Walk on Stage (10 pts)
This event spotlights all of the wonderful girls we have in Hyrum and we are looking forward to
