UCSD Sixth College Art Making Requirement 2013-2014 Sixth College requires that all students gain practical experience creating art. The required courses in Art Making will expose students to a variety of artistic genres in order to enhance their understanding of creative processes. To satisfy this requirement, a total of 8 units from a minimum of two different departments or artistic genres are required. Students may not use courses from the major department to satisfy this requirement. The course list below details the approved Art Making courses separated by department. Within each department, different artistic genres are listed. Students may take courses from the same department to fulfill the Art Making requirement providing the courses are from different artistic genres.
