Crème Body Wash with Emollients
CL-B0001B
Procedure:
PART A
1.
Disperse Carbopol®* Ultrez 20 Polymer by sprinkling on the surface of warm (~40°C) deionized water without mixing.
2.
After polymer has wetted, mix slowly for 10 minutes.
3.
Partially neutralize with sodium hydroxide (18%).
4.
Mix 30 minutes or until uniform.
PART B
5.
Disperse Jaguar C-1000 in water in a separate vessel (NOTE: polymer will not swell yet).
6.
Add Disodium EDTA. When polymer swells, add PART B to PART A. (NOTE: PART B will become very thick if it is
not added after swelling begins.) Mix until uniform.
PART C
7.
Add Sulfochem™* ES2-CWK Surfactant and Ammonium Cocoyl Isethionate (30%) in order to main batch. Mix slowly
to avoid air entrapment.
PART D
8.
In a side vessel, mix the following ingredients: Hydramol™* PGPL Ester, Vitamin E, Cetyl Alcohol, and Dimethicone.
Heat to 75°C.
9.
Add Sulfochem™* ES2-CWK Surfactant to PART D, hold heat at 65°C until uniform. Add Sodium Cocoamphoacetate
(37%) to PART D, maintaining temperature.
10. Add PART D to main batch. Mix until uniform. Cool to 40°C.
PART E
11. Add the following ingredients in order with mixing: Phenonip®, fragrance, and color.
12. Adjust pH with sodium hydroxide (18%) to 6.1 – 6.4.
