How to navigate the online Chinese-English Dictionary @ www.MDBG.net
1. From Chen Laoshi’s school web page, scroll down to “On-line Resources”
2. Click “Chinese-English dictionary”. It will open the website to
http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php

3. In the search box, type inyin ( 拼 音 ) of the character. For example, enter
“long2” for the word “dragon”. Enter
4. Choose the correct character that matches. Be very observant. It’ll be helpful
if you zoom in on screen.
5. Click on the character again. A bigger version of the character will
appear.

6. Click on the arrow key next to the character. Choose either the speaker to
hear the pronunciation or brush to see the stroke order.
7. Practice writing by following the proper stroke order and sound out with
your speaker on.
