USA Rugby Player Registration
All players must have an active USA Rugby membership account by Friday, August 28th
Your USA Rugby membership includes third party liability insurance coverage that protects you, the team, and the
University from lawsuits that may arise from accidents that occur throughout the season.
Registered USA Rugby members also receive up to $250,000 of accident medical insurance. That means if you're
injured playing, refereeing, or even coaching, you'll have medical coverage. If you have primary health
insurance, your USA Rugby Accident Insurance coverage could pay the deductible and cover other out-of-pocket
expenses. (You may access a complete list of your benefits at the following link)
An active USA Rugby membership is not only important for Division I Southeastern Rugby competition, but it is a
requirement to participate with Men’s Rugby. If you are a new player, you will need to create an account with USA
Rugby. If you are a returning player, simply login and then follow the instructions below:
1.) Go to USA Rugby's website
2.) Log in to your account or create a new account if you are a new member
3.) Click on the register button on the top right of the page, located next to the search bar
4.) Choose the Colleges tab, then Southeastern D1AA, then Univ. South Carolina Men's Rugby
5.) Select to register as a college player
6.) Follow the instructions through to the checkout
Player Requirements
Each week, players are expected to attend 2 weekly skills practices, 1 conditioning practice with the team, at least 2
conditioning/weight lifting sessions on their own time, and any matches assigned to you by your respective Head
Coach. In addition to weekly participation, players are also expected to complete a number of logistical items to
include the following:
1) USA Rugby Waiver (Paper)
2) USC Rugby Waiver (Online)
3) USC Rugby Participation Agreement (Paper)
4) New Player Profile (Online - New Players Only)
5) USA Rugby Registration ($40)
6) Player Dues ($250 or $350)
The deadline to complete the above items is Friday, August 28th. After that, you will be benched each weekend until
they are completed. Coach Morris is in agreement with this policy and will be enforcing it regardless of the individual
or how developed his skills or knowledge of the game may be.

Get Connected
Communication is a very important aspect of our program. As a player, you will want to join/follow the following
groups: Player FB Page / Fan FB Page / Twitter In addition to social media, we also have a Foundation that sends out
regular communications to our fans, parents, alumni, and supporters. Please assist us in maintaining our database by
providing your parents’ email addresses so that they receive these updates throughout the season and be apprised of
your accomplishments.
On our website you will find a condensed biography of our coaching staff. This would include each of their rugby
backgrounds, as well as an explanation into their personal expertise with different parts of the game. Keep in mind
that these men are here to help you in anyway in learning how to become a better rugby player. Never be afraid to ask
questions or even talk to them before or after practice.
Finally, on our website you will also find the team schedule posted for your review. Please make the necessary
