**Professional Development: CPM provides up to seven (7) days of free professional
development. Typically there are four days during the summer to prepare to use CPM and
then three days spread through the year to offer continuing support. The professional
development includes exploring and creating assessments, modeling effective teaching
strategies, doing mathematics, discussing how to use the curriculum/teacher edition,
planning lessons and pacing, using student study teams, and more. There are usually
more than 40 sites around the country; some travel to attend the workshops may be
necessary.
