Supper at Sage Hall Atrium The Anabel Taylor Baroque Organ One of Cornell’s newest Hidden Jewels: A ’66 private visit to the magnificent 25-foot Baroque Organ, originally handcrafted in 1706 by master organ builder Arp Schnitger for a chapel in Berlin, destroyed by Allied bombers in WWII. Each pipe, recreated & hand-built on campus by lead researcher & designer, Munetaka Yokota, under the supervision of University organist Professor Annette Richards, Arts & Sciences, Department of Music. The organ’s wood cabinet reconstructed & carved by local Ithaca craftsman, Christopher Lowe. We are thrilled to have Professor Richards share with us the organ’s history & the story of its re-creation by Cornell.
