PET Work Ethic Scenarios and “Mini” Essay Assignment

ethic and the articles we read in class. Answer with complete sentences, and correct

A. You are working as a tech in a local shop. Your boss has lectured you about being
dressed appropriately at all times, but you like to have casual Fridays, which your
boss does not approve of. You know the boss will be out this coming Friday, and
you would like to wear blue jeans to work. Examine your options and discuss the
consequences for each action (2 separate ¶). Then state which option you would

B. You’re not looking forward to a meeting at work today. You wake up and see it’s
a beautiful day. You think about calling in sick. Examine your options and discuss

C. You are about to be hired as an entry level technician. The tech manager asks you
if you will have any problems arriving on time every day at 7:30 am. You know
that you have a tendency to oversleep, even if you don’t mean to, and you rely on
the city bus to get you to work. But you really want the job. Examine your

D. You work in an auto parts store as part of your CTC Co-Op program. Your friend
asks you to buy him a starter using your employee discount. Examine your option

E. You see a fellow employee, who also happens to be a good friend of yours, take
parts out of Kimble’s back storage room and quickly throw them in the bed of his
