Into the Wild is Jon Krakauer’s attempt to make an objective observation of who Chris McCandless was. While the story is about how Chris died, it is also about how Chris lived and the events in his life that shaped who he was. As we read
Into the Wild, you will create your own documentation of who Chris McCandless was. You don’t have to like Chris to be able to examine his life, in fact, at times you will find yourself questioning Chris’ sanity, but you do have to be open minded enough to see that every person shares some of Chris’ desires and can see admiration in what Chris accomplished in his short life.
Each of you will be given a piece of poster board at the start of this unit. It is up to you to decide how to best document
Chris’ life via a piece of white paper. The only parameters of the assignment are listed below. As you work, take the time to think outside the box…..that poster board must become a representation of an in-depth person.

Please be specific in your analysis, you may group quotes adjectives or symbols but it needs to be obvious that you put thought into your selections. The analysis is to be typed in MLA format and will be handed in with the rest of your project.
