Spelling Choices
You will be assigned one activity per day from the list for Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday night for homework.
1. ABC Order: Write your words in alphabetical order.
2. Rainbow Words: Write each letter of the word in a
different color.
3. Silly Sentences: Use all your words in silly sentences.
4. Picture Words: Draw a picture and write your words in
the picture. OR Draw pictures to represent each word.
5. Story Words: Write a short story using your words.
Underline them in the story.
6. Pyramid Words: Write your words adding one letter at
a time. The result will look like a pyramid.
7. X Words: Write two words that have one common
letter so they criss-cross.
8. Choo-Choo Words: Write the entire list of words endto-end as one long word, using different colors for
different words.
9. Secret Agent Words: Number the alphabet from 1 to
26, and then convert your words to a number code.
10. Dictionary words: define all of your words using a
dictionary.
11. Synonym and Antonym Words: Write one synonym
and one antonym for each word.
12. Your Own Meaning Words: Write your own definition
for each word.
13. *ABC Fraction words: Write words in alphabetical
order, then write the fractions for consonants and
vowels for each word and simplify when possible.
* You will have this choice after your fractions unit in math.
