Historically, there are significant
characteristics a king must have in order to
be respected by his subjects. These
attributes are mimicked by his followers and
reveal a society’s beliefs and values quite
clearly through this imitation. In an essay,
discuss the characteristics and beliefs of the
Anglo Saxon Culture as revealed in
Beowulf. (Please remember to distinguish
between the author’s beliefs and the beliefs
of the Anglo Saxon Culture.)
