Assignment #1: Missing Paragraph Uh oh! The story “Orientation” is missing a paragraph and the author needs YOUR help! As we read “Orientation” by Daniel Orozco we learn about each staff member, however, we do not learn anything about the narrator, or do we? Your job is to create the missing paragraph in which the narrator introduces himself to you. I would suggest making this the very first paragraph of the story but if you can find a better fit then go for it, just let me know what page number the paragraph would fit in to. Also, you must try to match the style/tone of the author so that it really does seem like the missing paragraph. Format: - Typed, 1.5 spaced - At least 8 sentences - Must match the style/tone of the author Must include: - An introduction of the character - At least 4 characteristics of the character must be evident in the paragraph, this can be shown through the way the character speaks, acts, or what they tell you. Tip: - Keep in mind the 6 point scale I handed out during our first class together, make sure it is engaging, has flair, etc. Due: - Wednesday October 19th at the beginning of class - Out of: /18
