WHAT: Cue Camp New York provides
a fun and supportive learning
environment for new cuers and those
wishing to develop their cueing skills.
WHO: Families and professionals,
adults and children. Instruction at all
levels.

College campus in Rochester, New York.
WHY: CCNY is a great opportunity to
develop your skills, learn about the
latest CS research, and network with
cuers from across the country.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Those campers needing overnight
accommodations please contact Kristin

a list of off-campus hotels located within
a few miles from campus.
MEALS
A light continental breakfast will be
offered on Friday and Saturday prior to
the start of classes. Lunch (Fri and Sat)
is included in the day camper rate.
Vegetarian entrees will be available
upon request.

INSTRUCTION
Children 0-4 will be cared for during class
hours and will be exposed to Cued Speech
through play, games, and activities.
Children 5-7 will be exposed to CS through
fun activities and some systematic
instruction with other children their age.
Children 8 and up will also have some
systematic CS instruction in addition to
exposure to cueing through fun activities.
Teens who are already fluent cuers may
apply to be counselors in children’s classes.
Adult classes: Beginner classes for
parents/professionals and Advanced
Beginners/Intermediate cuers. ASHA
CEU’s have been requested.
COSTS Rates include instruction, lunch,
special presentations, and end Pizza Party.

reserve your places. Balance is due at check-in.
Registration after May 25th will be on a spaceavailable basis with tuition due at time of
registration. Information about check-in and
transportation will be sent upon registration.

offerings, include the George Eastman House,
Rochester Museum and Science Center, the
Strasenburgh Planetarium, and the Museum of
Play. The Deaf Capital of the US, home of the
National Technical Institute for the Deaf,
Rochester is the third largest city in New York
State and is the hub of Monroe County.
Numerous parks dot the city and surrounding
towns. The Finger Lakes are nearby, and Niagara
Falls and Letchworth State Park, the “Grand
Canyon of the East,“ are within easy driving
distance. Major airlines, bus lines, and Amtrak
serve the Rochester area.
