During this placement, I planned literacy enhancing activities, differentiated math lessons from the current program, Math Expressions, and created authentic materials to use on the Smartboard, PC or as handouts. By the end of my placement, I was working independently planning and running two second grade reading groups, providing planned support during Math: Investigations lessons, creating adapted writing graphic organizers, rubrics, and learning aids for my students. I documented behaviors and worked with the classroom teachers communicating issues and possible solutions. I participated in Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS) meetings, IST meetings as well as parent/teacher conferences.
