Brief work history June 1996-September 1999 employer = Steve Midgley carpentry services, Coychurch, Pen-y-bont, South Wales, duties include= calculations of the required materials and time work will take, loading of all materials, planning, preparation and to do work along side my teacher and boss [Steve Midgley]. I worked with or under the supervision of my teacher every day during my three years apprenteship and was always taught to take pride in my work, with no exceptions to speed with quality, Steve taught me all the tricks of the trade that he knew to do to work properly first time, every time, with standards to pass building regulations , at this time we covered all aspects of carpentry from traditional cut roofs, hardwood floors, new construction, renovation, renovations, loft conversions, restorations industrial, commercial, domestic and private sectors. In my first year in collage, I spent 2 days a week in the collage and the second and third year I went one day a week. I also did the work in domestc, occupied houses, including new doors on old frames, new kitchens, kitchen facelifts, loft conversions, staircases, fences, decks, 1st fix, 2nd fix, decorative work, laminate and hardwood mosiac floors, summer houses, etc, etc, after two years I have a contract with a national home builder [Barratt] myself along with some carpenters and students i employed completed houses from start [shuttering] to finish [door handles] in many locations in the South Wales area, thousands of homes over the years, on the other side of the buisness, I had a contract with the local social housing sector [Rhondda Cynon Taff Council] was taking out old kitchens in the occupied houses and installing a new , each house had to be completed in one day.
