Topic
Create a Playbill for
the performance of
Shakespeare’s “A
Midsummer Night’s
Dream” as it would
look in the late
1500’s. (Be sure to
add historically
accurate
advertisements, news,
etc. and that the
language is in old
English.)
Rewrite an act from
“A Midsummer
Night’s Dream” in
today’s language
using today’s
technology in the
setting. Type out the
screenplay in proper
format, including
stage directions.
Either alone or in a
group, perform a
scene from “A
Midsummer Night’s
Dream.” Old English
lines must be
memorized; lines
must be spoken with
emotion and feeling,
and stage directions
followed. You will
have to either perform
it for the class or
record it and show it
to us!

easily work for you and your company. And of course, BREAK A LEG!
