Animal Farm Newspaper
Task: Either to report the important events occurring at Animal Farm to the residents of Animal
Farm and to spread the message of Animalism to other farms in other parts of the world. You
must get the message out….
OR
An underground Newspaper calling for the overthrow of Napoleon and a return to the good old
days of Mr. Jones!
Role: Animals on the farm. You are the creator of your own newspaper for the farm. You are
responsible for writing, editing, and creating your own.
Your newspaper must create the following:
 Title of Newspaper (original/creative)
 1 News Story ( approximately 200 words minimum)
 1 editorial (each must be 200 words minimum)
 Biography profile on an important character in Animal Farm
 1 political cartoon either in support of Animalism OR in opposition to Animalism if you
have selected the underground choice
How the newspaper should look:
 One page
 Must be typed and single spaced
 The titles and headings of articles may be typed in a larger font, but paragraphs within
articles must be size 12 font in Times New Roman or Garamond
 May be in color or black and white.
