Year 5 RS Exam Guide
These are the some of the important facts you will need to know to be successful in
your exam. Please also go through your exercise book and look over the work you
have done over the first two terms.
Your exam will last 45 minutes in total. You will be asked to write a short essay on a
particular topic of religion (For example: Can you summarise the life and works of
Jesus in a paragraph?).
Make sure to check the marks allocated for each question as these will give you an
idea of the detail and amount of information required.

What are the main festivals and celebrations Muslims observe? What is their
significance?
What is Ramadan?
When is the Muslim holy day?
What important pilgrimage undertake? And why? What is its significance?
What is the Muslim holy book?
Sikhism
Where is it practiced by how many people?
Where does it originate from?
Who is its founder?
How old is this religion?
What are the main Sikh beliefs?

Where and how do Sikhs worship?
What are the main festivals and celebrations Sikhs observe?
