Do different brands of orange juice affect the level of vitamin C? We did some research
and found a lot of research. The vitamin level of C changes because it gets oxidized and that
causes the change. Different brands of orange juice affect the level of vitamin C because frozen
orange juice has the highest level of vitamin C. It may vary by the season also, it also helps
boosts your immune system. The level of vitamin C changes if you cook the vitamin and destroy
it.
Everyone needs vitamin C but only animals store it. Vitamin C is very rare, because the
body can’t store the vitamin. Scurvy is a deficiency condition characterized by gum disease,
pain in the muscles or joints, skin lesions, fatigue, and also bleeding. To prevent this disease
called scurvy an adult would need about 10 milligrams of vitamin C per day. However,
amounts of more than 2,000 mg/day are not recommended because such high doses can lead to
signs and symptoms of deficiency.
Julius Freed invented orange juice in the 1920’s in Los Angeles. Julius Freed operated a
business that initially sold plain orange juice. Later, Julius Freed’s friends Bill Hamlin, a realestate agent with a background in chemistry, helped a lot with inventing orange juice. The
longer the vitamin C sits the more the level of vitamin C changes and also the less vitamin C it
will carry.
Vitamin C boosts our immune system to fight off viruses, foreign invaders and tumor
cells. It is also essential for the healing of wounds, and for the repair of maintenance of
cartilage, bones, and teeth. Vitamin C tries to reach as many cells in our bodies as it can.
Vitamin C plays an active roll in the manufacture and defense of our connective tissue (the large
matrix that holds the body cells together). Orange juice gets bad if you heat it for a long period
of time. For example, if you leave it sit out in the sun for a long period of time it will get warm
and nasty.
Vitamin C gets used in a lot of things such as fruits including: oranges, grapefruits,
lemons, limes, papayas, strawberries and cantaloupe. Vitamin C is also active in vegetables such
as tomatoes, broccoli, green and red bell peppers, raw lettuce and other leafy vegetables. Foods
that have a higher amount of vitamin C include: green peppers, citrus fruit, citrus juices,
strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli, turnip greens, leafy greens, sweet potatoes, white potatoes,
cantaloupe, papaya, mango, watermelon, Brussels sprout, cauliflower, cabbage, winter squash,
red peppers, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, and pineapple.
Many people like to think they can get the FRESHEST orange juice at the store; but the
truth is the freshest orange juice comes from the frozen concentrated orange juice. Or even a can
of frozen CONCENTRATED orange juice. Active vitamin levels are higher in frozen
concentrated orange juice than ready-to-drink orange juice, researchers report. Once the vitamin
C has been reconstituted, the vitamin in frozen juices may keep its potency longer.
Someone may want to ask will consumers purchase more frozen orange juice due to the
vitamin C? Vitamin C is a product that is prevalent in many foods and produced by an
abundance of chemical companies. Example: In an orange, the vitamin C is primarily the L side,
and remains so in surroundings of the orange. The content of the type of vitamin C that can be
readily absorbed by the body dropped in all of the juices over time, with levels falling an average
two percent a day, according to the report in an issue.
Orange juice made from frozen concentrated juice has higher levels of active vitamin C
than the ready-to-drink orange juice. Frozen concentrates have more vitamin C in them than
ready-to-drink orange juice. The reason for that is because vitamin C is very easily destroyed
and ready-to-drink orange juice goes through more of a process than concentrates. Vitamin C
reacts to the formation of protein collagen (a glue-like substance that binds cells together to form
tissue. Collagen is a series of events both inside and outside cells. Vitamin C has been actively
involved in the cell and hydrolyzes the amino acids lysine and praline. Without vitamin C,
collagen formation is disrupted, leading to a number of problems throughout the human body. If
you take a look at a variety of vitamin C supplements, you will find the majority of them contain
only ascorbic acid or ascorbate, which is a less acidic form of ascorbic acid.
Real vitamin C found in whole foods like fruits and vegetables contains the following
components: rutin, factor K, factor J, factor P, tyrosine’s, ascorbinogen, and ascorbic acid.
Vitamin C is also known as ascorbic acid and is a water-soluble vitamin which is essential for
normal functioning in the body. Unlike mammals, humans don’t have the ability to make their
own vitamin C.
Over the studies shown in the past years vitamin C is an effective anti-cancer “medicine.”
Vitamin C can work “inside” the cell to protect the DNA from all damage, or from most.
According to studies, two to five grams of vitamin C can help the body become more likely to
fight of viruses or strong things like that.
Although it might appear that vitamin C is in ALL ways good, it has some bad effects to
it also. The three most serious effects that vitamin C has on everyone are conditioned scurvy,
kidney stones and also the destruction of the vitamin cell B12. The more common effects that
vitamin C has on everyone are cramps, diarrhea, and nausea. In some occasions, vitamin C, the
chewable form, has led to the erosion of dental enamel.
Oranges start by getting hand picked in a field; they all then get loaded onto a truck that
takes them to a processing plant. The good thing about oranges is they don’t ripen after being
picked! Conveyers then take all the oranges through a washing process; to get the oranges all
clean. The oranges then get used as a by-product and the U.S. Department of Agriculture checks
tests them for juice and solids content. They then get reported into storage bins according to
juice qualifications; conveyers then get the oranges to something that is called the juicing
machines, which makes the stream of pulpy juice get rid of the seeds, pulp, and peel are removed
and get used as by-products.
Your health is very important for your normal everyday life. If you eat the right foods
you are sure to get the right amount of vitamin C and other nutrients in you to fight off diseases
and other horrendous things that accumulate in your body. The nutrients we all need to make
sure we are getting the right things are proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins. Most of the
nutrients our bodies need are found in vegetables and fruits; although certain nutrients are only
found in meats and dairy products. Vitamins and nutrients are also important for all of the
children to stay healthy and alive out there. You may know a lot of children who are picky
eaters, that is very bad for their bodies because they may not get all the nutrients they need to
supplement themselves. They don’t realize how bad it is for their bodies to get sick. If you give
your children the right amount of nutrients and vitamins then they have a less chance of getting a
cold that is going around at their school or some kind of cold or virus. Multivitamins are the best
thing to give a child who is either picky or doesn’t eat as much food because they have a smaller
stomach.
