FINALIZING—PERSONAL STATEMENT, TRANSCRIPT, APPLICATION FEE
REQUIREMENTS, AND FINANCIAL AID
To finalize this application you need to:
1. Send this application via email or print it out and bring it to the Pericles office in person.
2. Pay an application fee of 1000 rubles. This fee covers the cost of reviewing applications and testing
and interviewing applicants, and is NOT refundable. You may pay it in cash in the Pericles office.
If you wish to send the fee via bank transfer, please email Pericles for banking coordinates.
3.
An essay, in English, explaining why you want to obtain an LL.M. degree, what you hope to
learn from your studies, and what highlights about your background you believe will make you an
asset to an LL.M. program.
Applicants which are qualified for the ‘Pericles Leading Scholarship’ must write why they think
they should receive the scholarship, and what highlights about your background you believe
makes you a good candidate to be awarded a scholarship.
Essays of approximately 800-1000 words (1-2 single spaced pages) are preferred, with an outside
limit of 2000 words. Please prepare this essay on Microsoft Word, and submit it with this
application form. We highly recommend spell-checking and having a friend proof read your essay
for errors. You may submit the essay after submitting this application form if you prefer,
provided that you clearly indicate your name so that your essay can be identified to your
application. YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED COMPLETE UNTIL YOUR
PERSONAL STATEMENT IS RECEIVED. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE DEADLINE
DATES STATED ON PERICLES WEBSITE FOR SUBMITTING ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION FOR ATTACHMENT TO THE APPLICATION.
4. Bring to Pericles your transcript (grade report) from the institute or university where you
obtained your degree(s) in law and from any other institutions of higher learning that you have
attended. If you prefer, you may type or scan your transcript into the computer and email it.
Your application will be considered complete when this information is received via email, provided
that the information can later be confirmed by reviewing your original transcript at the Pericles
office.
5. Bring or email to Pericles one identification photograph (digital jpg or tif format preferred)
6. If you intend to apply for financial assistance, come to Pericles and pick up and complete a
financial assistance application.
COMPLETING ENROLMENT
(All students please read)
I understand that by emailing or delivering this application form to Pericles I am applying for
the Pericles LL.M. program and certifying that all the information above is correct to the best of
my knowledge, and that I have read and agree to ABLE’s academic and refund policies (found
at www.pericles.ru). I further understand that by emailing or delivering this application to
Pericles I am agreeing to pay the 1000 ruble non-refundable LL.M. Program Application
Fee. This fee is not deducted from the cost of any course.
I understand that if I am admitted to the LL.M. program and decide to register for courses, the
cost of the courses is 15000 rubles per semester credit (each course is between 1-4 credits). This
amount may be reduced if I am awarded a leading student scholarship or needs based financial
assistance. The first 5000 rubles of my payment for each class is a non-refundable course
application fee that must be paid before my space will be confirmed in any particular course.
This amount is payable whether or not I am awarded any scholarship or assistance. This fee is
deducted from the stated price of the course.
I understand that Pericles charges additional fees of 1000 to 2000 rubles per course if I register
for courses after the stated registration deadline. I also understand that tuition fees do not include
the cost of textbooks.
