Introduction
-Hunger for energy-
Oil extracting machines
Thousands of years ago, oil was discovered. Since then, it was used
as fuel... and it got fewer and fewer. It's good that it's continuously
forming from the degrade of dead marine organisms. But there is also a
bad side: Over time, too many sorts of machines that need fuel were
ivented, and we obtain diesel oil and petrol by refining oil. And so the oil
consumption of men began to exceed its ability to reproduce by itself. So
people were forced to accept that the world's oil reserves will finish at a
time. And then what will they do?!
The solution is simple: we need to find other sources of energy, so
that the electricity won't power off for the whole world one day. We
must look carefully around and find, in this big nature around us, other
sources of energy.
Let's see!!

Alternative energy sources used in Hungary
Hydro-electric
stations
are
already a clean way to produce
electricity, but it's widespread and it
can't be called an alternative energy
source because we've used it for a
long time. However, we can not build
too many hydro-electric stations,
because we'd need a bigger height
than the top of the mountain from
which the river flows has!
Well, we can see around us trash. Lots of trash! Let's do a great job
and burn it. In this way we get rid of it and we also produce heat that can
turn into electricity. Indeed, we won't get very much, but it's still better
than nothing, right?
According to the rules, since 2010, the European Union members
must produce at least 6% of their electricity using alternative energy
sources. Since 2020, this minimum limit will increase to 12%.
The alternative energy source
the most used in Hungary is the
windmill. This is a very simple
construction that needs a small
investment. Built in a favorable place
where the wind blows often and
strongly, it has a guaranteed
success. Don't forget that Hungary is largely a lowland area, and so air
currents are not stopped by any natural orographic barrier.

Using solar panels is also efficient. They capture the solar radiation
and convert it directly into electricity. At first, small solar batteries
have been invented, which were attached to garden lights. During the day
they were loaded from the sun rays, and during the night they lit without
needing any external source of energy. Then the solar panels got bigger
and bigger, being able to cover almost completely the roof of a house, so
managing to give it all the electricity it needs. On the other hand,
installing a water tank on the roof for the water to heat from the sun has
been practiced for a long time. Now there are such tanks, painted in
black, which have many tubes to
quickly and efficiently capture the
sun's heat.
So don't forget! No matter where you are, take care of the energy you
consume, because you'll never know how and when it will disappear.
Alternative sources of energy exist, but they still can't fully replace the usual
sources of energy, which pollute the environment and have to be avoided.
