We will spend one day in the computer lab doing a “Life in the Trenches” simulation on the internet. As you do the simulation you will be answering pre-assigned questions. 2. After completing the simulation you will write an essay detailing what life in the trenches was like as though you were there. The combination of these two parts will make up a test grade. Using your textbook (Chapter 12, Section 2) and notes from the simulation, you will write an essay (1-2 pages double-spaced typed ) detailing what “Life in the Trenches” was like—AS THOUGH YOU WERE THERE. In other words, you are writing from your perspective as though you were a World War I soldier in the trenches. That means you will be using words like ‘I’, ‘me,’ ‘we’ and ‘they.’ Your essay needs to include the following (A, B, C, and D): A. Create a cover, which must have a picture and a quote.
