NLDC Book Review THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN – YEAR 1 The purpose of this book review is to reveal and discuss concepts and ideas that will help to create the proper paradigm for leadership. It is my hope that you will first and foremost enjoy the read. This book has been chosen because it has been an inspiration to so many people. Once you get through it once, note any highlights or questions that come to your mind. These will be useful in our class discussions. Specifically, you are required to: 1. Read through it once – for your own leisure, making notes, highlighting as you wish (these are your books). 2. Go through it again, looking for concepts and principles of leadership that will help to better you to serve others. 3. Write a 500-800 word summary (1.5 space, 12 pt. Times New Roman font) based on the following: You will meet Eddie, an old man who is faced with the gnawing question, “Have I made a difference in the world?” He encounters people from his past that help him to see his life from a different point of view. Discuss the lessons Eddie learns from the 5 people he meets in heaven, as well as what points can you draw from the book to help you in life. We will have classes together (March 31, April 7, 21, 28) in which you are required to: 1. Come to all lunch meetings. 2. Bring the book and your lunch. 3. Come prepared to engage in the discussions. You will receive a topical summary of these discussions. 4.
