We practiced agile software development using the SCRUM methodology. Proposed and implemented better coding standards, unit testing, integration testing, refactoring, and version control. Configured and maintained an ASP.NET Hudson continuous integration server on an EC2 server. Integrated the HubSpot product with Salesforce, using the Salesforce API and custom built web services. Gained an extensive knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices. Developed and deployed systems in C#.NET and Java, using Windows and Linux tools including Eclipse, Maven, Hibernate, Tomcat, Visual Studio, IIS, Selenium, JUnit, NUnit. IFACTORY/RDW GROUP, Boston, MA Senior Software Engineer, August 2004 – September 2008 Interactive Factory is a web development company that builds custom CMSs and publication management systems. During my four years at iFactory, I built CMSs for a variety of clients, each with different needs. For most projects, I was the primary engineer and involved in the process throughout the initial estimate, the sale, requirements-gathering, design and specification, and implementation and deployment. Designed and implemented a complete CMS in C#.NET with Microsoft SQL server, including versioned content, multiple content types, layers of access control, image and document management, and the ability to create child sites. Refactored the .NET CMS to be re-used by multiple clients, each with a custom design, data types, and interface. Designed and implemented CMSs in Java with Tapestry using a proprietary code base. Designed and implemented publication systems in Java using XQuery to integrate with the MarkLogic XML database engine. Worked with clients to find the optimal solution for their needs within given budget constraints. Wrote detailed specifications in order to ensure that the client and iFactory were in agreement about project functionality and scope. Used test-driven development (TDD). Implemented and deployed web-based systems using C#.NET, VB.NET, Visual Studio.NET, Java, Tapestry, Eclipse, XML, XSLT, XPath, MarkLogic, XQuery, Javascript, XHMTL, ColdFusion, Ruby on Rails, tSQL, and MySQL in Windows and Linux environments.
